Listener comments!

A houseguest who knows Turkish says the title of the opener means "Found It Myself, Had It Myself" or similar.
Avatar    Sat. 4/28/12 6:18pm Your DJ:

Thanks G! There actually is a big Turkish concert in NY this summer outdoors at Lincoln Center, NY featuring the 70s singer Selda and also a couple of great trad / modern clarinetists. Sat eve July 28 - info at www.lcoutofdoors.org. There is a chance we might have a radio manifestation of the concert too but it's still in the early stages of discussion.
  Sat. 4/28/12 6:35pm G:

Thanks for that info, Rob, am passing it along to several Turkish-background friends, and will look into going myself too, especially if it isn't broadcast...
  Sat. 4/28/12 6:55pm julian:

Hey Rob - do you know if there is a problem with the internet stream? I keep trying but can't connect. Wonder if it is a problem at your end or.....more likely...mine?
  Sat. 4/28/12 6:56pm G:

stream is fine here via verizon in Brooklyn NY...
  Sat. 4/28/12 7:06pm julian:

Thanks G. I will keep trying to figure out what has happened at this end then.
  Sat. 4/28/12 7:22pm G:

@julian: if you are on a PC and know how to get into the underlying DOS, you can run a tracert command to trace the route over the WWW by which you are connecting and see where the block or holdup is...

  Sat. 4/28/12 7:51pm rzmzmnrf:

you can't go wrong with Kishore, Manna, Mohd., Lata, Asha, Mukesh, R.D. Burman, aka India's Magnificient Seven
  Sat. 4/28/12 7:52pm rzmzmnrf:

also, there's no Manna Dey on this track, I think, unless he is pulling one hell of a Asha Bhosle impression.
Avatar    Sat. 4/28/12 7:54pm Your DJ:

Manna Dey is credited but I had left out Asha Bhosle's name in the playslist entry, sorry about that!
  Sat. 4/28/12 8:44pm Scott:

  Sat. 4/28/12 8:52pm Bill:
