	3:10am Matt from Springfield: Hmm, instrumental 1981 album. Amanda Nazario just played from Richard Thompson's 1983 album "Hand of Kindness", she rec'd highly. The song she played was very Cajun tinged. With accordion played by Richard!

	3:10am mike noble in dc: and that was probably because it was an italian song written by a english beat band working in italy... but an english translation was made and recorded by a different band back in england BEFORE the original italian was released.

Although different confusing versions by the Grass Roots would prob be best expressed by "Where Were You When I Needed You" -- no less than THREE different versions of P.F. Sloan's song were recorded and released from 1965-66, by three different bands all called the Grass Roots!
