	2:20pm Van in DC: The Super Bowl ad costs are linked to ratings of recent games...since it is so widely watched, they are able to charge enormous prices. Wasn't initially like that. Then when the ad prices became an annual "new high" the commercials themselves became an "event" like they are now.
	2:22pm Van in DC: For the record, I think Madonna's halftime was terrific. I have no clue who the "MIA" lady is, nor anyone else that performed.

	2:20pm Van in DC: The Super Bowl ad costs are linked to ratings of recent games...since it is so widely watched, they are able to charge enormous prices. Wasn't initially like that. Then when the ad prices became an annual "new high" the commercials themselves became an "event" like they are now.
