And the less said about the cartoon, where they explained the origins of Donald by having his egg fall from a tree (why the heck would a duck be nesting there?) and landing on the road in front of Scrooge's car, who apparently babynaps Donald and raises him. Except as "his nephew". WTF!?!

	4:53pm Caryn: kat, decided to google Hyvinkää, and they seem to love appropriating famous names for their own uses. For instance, they have a whole part of town (including a nature reserve, sports centre and spa) called Sveitsi ("Switzerland") and an annual music festival called Woodstock.
	4:55pm kat330: J.T. just arrived home and will probably reply, but when I asked him about the Woodstock, that was news to him. I remember going to a great natatorium in the Switzerland area.
	4:57pm Caryn: The full name is Willatehtaan Woodstock. Apparently, the local Lions Club organises it.
	4:58pm Caryn: kat, is the Switzerland area at least hilly? Do they make watches or good chocolate?
	4:59pm J.T.: Hi everybody! Looks like I missed some good toons, but I'm sure it'll keep up! And yeah, Finland is just as bad repurposing names as the US is. We have Warsaw somewhere close by here in midwest USA.

	5:03pm kat330: Besides the indoor water park, I mostly remember how quiet our walks in the woods were (in May), never catching sight of woodland creatures or hearing birdsong. Around here, the woods are bustling with fauna and birdsong even in colder months.

	5:33pm wiki: According to Clive Langer, he'd written the tune for Robert Wyatt but wasn't happy with the lyrics that he had written himself. Langer played the tune to Costello at a party hosted by Nick Lowe, and within days Costello had written lyrics he described as "the best lyrics I've ever written".

	5:36pm Caryn: That's kinda like David Bowie's lyrics to the French melody that was then given different lyrics by Paul Anka and became "My Way". It's fun to hear the Bowie version: instantly recognisable melody, unexpected words.
	5:36pm kat330: They are great lyrics, but I've never been sure how well they fit the languorous music. I mean, I include Shipbuilding on my list of "in the mood" songs.

I like the low, soft brass, like French horn, or the soft woodwinds like oboe and bassoon. I blame Profofiev's "Peter and the Wolf" for that.

	4:53pm Caryn: kat, decided to google Hyvinkää, and they seem to love appropriating famous names for their own uses. For instance, they have a whole part of town (including a nature reserve, sports centre and spa) called Sveitsi ("Switzerland") and an annual music festival called Woodstock.
	4:55pm kat330: J.T. just arrived home and will probably reply, but when I asked him about the Woodstock, that was news to him. I remember going to a great natatorium in the Switzerland area.
	4:57pm Caryn: The full name is Willatehtaan Woodstock. Apparently, the local Lions Club organises it.

Langer played the tune to Costello at a party hosted by Nick Lowe, and within days Costello had written lyrics he described as "the best lyrics I've ever written".
