Street interviews, listener call-ins, vinyl gluttery, sporadic normalcy, original floperas and fiktion, blatant talking over songs, politix, tenderness, and a vague undercurrent of angst. Right up your alley!

Listener comments!

  9:07pm wooly mammoth:

hello clay, happy halloween!
  9:09pm glenn:

oh sweet jesus on a bike, what could clay be wearing?
  9:10pm 12539:

wow, Digisuccess!
  9:11pm Ike:

Nice start! You have surprised me pleasantly with that trance (techno? trance techno?). I take back every bad thing I ever said about your taste in music. At least until you play some awful drippy top-40 music from the hellish eras of yesteryear. Then I'll probably submit more ill-considered and tastelessly insolent comments, and regret it later. I'm such a jerk sometimes.
  9:12pm Clay:

So far it's working. Let me know if you hear problems. Hello and HAPPY HALLOWEEN everyone. We'll get Halloweened_out from 10-12.
  9:12pm Clay:

Ike - you're a favorite listener of mine.
  9:13pm Ike:

LOL! Me?!?
  9:15pm Guessing:

Clay loves everyone. What's Clay's message of love and peace for everyone?!?!?
  9:17pm Julie:

Halloween with Clay Pigeon!
  9:18pm Clay:

Hey Jules!
  9:18pm Julie:

Did you bring candy? I have no Halloween candy
  9:20pm Clay:

I'm dieting
  9:29pm Bobo:

Won't somebody pick up a lamp or an ashtray and end this??!!!
  9:33pm Clay:

I'm using the ashtray.
  9:36pm Bobo:

Then get an ice pick and stick it in my ears. I'm begging you.
  9:44pm Mark:

I'm just tuning in - what is this? Occupy Crapola?
  9:47pm Mark:

OK, yes it is. Peace out.
  9:49pm Dude #8:

Clay!!!! You Rule!
  9:50pm Clay:

Yes, Dude. TY for the love.
  9:50pm Mike:

If crapola is all you got you make it your own.
  9:53pm Clay:

I recorded this audio footage on Sunday, October 23rd. I haven't been able to air it until now. Thanks to Dan Bodah for letting me fill-in. He's under the weather, but recoverig nicely. Halloween Music and Stories Coming Up!
  9:56pm Bobo:

I'v e learned to accept the blandness. Embrace the blandness. Become the blandness. I'm with the bland.
  10:00pm Clay:

Oh man, I left a glitch in that Herman Cain spot.
  10:01pm Ike:

Wow! This is the guy who posts stuff everywhere about the NSA spying on him and bringing about 9/11! Clearly his mental illness is tangled up in his need for drama. He can't stand not to be central in the crucial machinations of the universe. He's frightened by the thought that he doesn't matter, maybe? Disturbing! Then he says, "Oh! I love FMU!" HA!
  10:01pm Dude #8:

Yes! Those Herman Cain ads are so funny!
  10:01pm Herman Cain ad:

Pass that over here, dude.
  10:04pm Jeff In Hawaii:

Great show again Clay. Thanks for doing what you're
  10:04pm Jeff In Hawaii:

Great show again Clay. Thanks for doing what you're
  10:07pm nihiles:

what was that that finished the show before _fight the power_? my reception crackled a little and im not sure what i heard...
clay says: 'remember oakland' ??? and what audio followed?

  10:09pm Clay:

Bloodrock DOA
  10:10pm Clay:

NiHiles udio from Oakland PD eviction of protesters.
  10:11pm Clay:

  10:11pm Dude #8:

@nihiles Oakland protesters were met by riot police and had rubber bullets + tear gas canisters shot at them. One marine veteran, Scott Olsen, was sent to the hospital put into a medically induced coma thanks to one of those canisters hitting him point blank in the head. So that is why OWS should remember Oakland.
  10:13pm Clay:

TY Dude #8 Hard to type here. Busy with little tasks and whatnot.
  10:14pm nihiles:

wow! i totally missed this piece of news while i was off the grid. thanks clay & dude. gotta go read up.
  10:15pm glenn:

is this still bloodrock, or have we moved on to dog soldier?
  10:16pm Minnesota Jeff:

Yeah, Clay! Freedom Rock!
  10:19pm Dude #8:

But not all protests were met with aggressive cops. Apparently cops in Albany decided not to evict OWS protesters despite pressures from higher up because they realized that they weren't dangerous and peacefully assembled.
  10:19pm drewo:

Halloween night 1960's - upstate suburban New York. Streets were *packed* with kids going to every house on every street. For hours. Dropped off a loaded bag of candy and hit the streets again with a new bag. Candy would last for about three weeks iirc
  10:19pm Dude #8:

  10:21pm Minnesota Jeff:

Clay, whats the name of this background music? Trandecental music from Iowa? Sounds like some spaced out surf jams.
  10:21pm glenn:

we would go out and do a circuit, come home, change costumes, get a new bag and go out again.
  10:35pm Clay:

  10:36pm Bobo:

Muzak "The Raven"? Bring back the yacking Occupiers.
  10:36pm Clay:

it never ends
  10:38pm sadlo:

quality goofy programming, have fun!
  10:49pm other david:

Clay <3

It's nearly 3AM here, can I stay up for all of this and Julies show?
  10:49pm Clay:

ty sadlo!
  10:52pm doctor b.:

I haven't heard that Beatles parody track since, I dunno, since...well, excuse me, it's time for me to get back to my coffin before the sun rises!
  10:53pm Dude #8:

Now, all I need is a party to go along with this Halloween music...
  10:54pm david:

Clay Pigeon on Monday night - what a treat!
  10:54pm 1970s College Dorms:

  10:54pm Clay:

No callers. Raw panic.
  10:55pm other david:

"Quadraphonic sound, a waterbed, and now a strobe light. Gentlemen, say hello to the second-base mobile."
  10:58pm david:

I've got a quadraphonic 8-track player I use as a stereo receiver... front and back, it's pretty sweet
  11:00pm david:

"what's the conflict?"
  11:01pm other david:

^above was a semi obscure quote from The Simpsons

Damn I love this show
  11:08pm Garrison K.:

Damn, Clay, that sounds like the freakin' life.
  11:10pm pp:

I remember reading Harvest Home a long time ago. Thomas Tryon used to be an actor.
  11:11pm other david:

How many LP's out of the "Creepy Dudes" section?
  11:12pm david:

Clay and Julie agree on music!!!
  11:13pm other david:

@david: I think even Fabio would like this
  11:13pm neil:

Thomas Tryon!! The Other was one of my favorite books.Even better than Harvest Home.
  11:14pm sadlo:

thought it might be your colleague fabio jamming in the back there.. ha!
  11:15pm david:

yes other d, that one would win over the entire Tricycle.
  11:17pm Clay:

This is Coven
  11:20pm sadlo:

do you think coven made the world a better place?
  11:21pm david:

yes - the bat story
  11:21pm Clay:

They had a hit with "One Tin Soldier," Sadlo. I don't play their devil-stuff. Maybe on Halloween.
  11:37pm Clay:

I've lost every damn one of you.
  11:37pm other david:

No you have not, I'm transfixed :)
  11:37pm 12539:

  11:42pm stefanie:

  11:44pm Clay:

Stefanie ... it was a mix I made of Public Enemy/Rage Against The Machine/Pink Floyd/Bruce Springsteen
  11:45pm Clay:

I'll archive it on the Dusty Show page.
  11:47pm stefanie:

That was really awesome, I loved it. I tried calling in, but I'm not sure why I couldn't get the number right lol. Thanks for the cool factor!
  11:51pm other david:

  11:51pm Clay:

Hey, if I don't get a chance ... thanks everybody. Get well soon, Dan Bodah. Happy Halloween and always remember. Flip Wilson
  11:52pm Clay:

Thanks Other David. Appreciate it. That was from 2009, so it sounded not-so-great to me. But TY sir.
  11:54pm david:

Still, it's nice to see the arc of the Dusty show from '09 till now. ("NO!")
  11:56pm sadlo:

ever hear the one about alice cooper and the orangutan?
  11:58pm Clay:

No sadlo .... haha
  11:58pm 12539:

Thanks for the fill-in, Clay!
  11:59pm other david:

  11:59pm sadlo:
