Listener comments!

  3:08pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

really looking forward to this, Fabio!
  3:10pm Mike East:

Me too. Phones quiet today, DCE?
  3:10pm BSI:

Agreed. Bravo in advance. Been waiting on this here thing...
  3:12pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

a little better today, Mike, but I'm still busier than usual.
  3:14pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

  3:16pm BSI:

  3:18pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

yes let's!
  3:23pm Peter:

Fabio -- Please be sure to give a shout out to my departed friend Norbert Schilling who released a few CS records on his Plate Lunch label...and more. Thanks.
  3:23pm Cobra Dan:

Was going to go outside but on second thought I will stay inside.
  3:25pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

I think it's a wise decision, Cobra Dan.
  3:46pm Cecile:

Conrad was also a cartoon character. Matt Howath (Those Annoying Post Brothers) would put him in there from time to time.
  3:48pm Michael Thomas Roe:

Hello to Gen Ken from Michael Thomas Roe in Atlanta. Sounds good!
  3:51pm jim:

  3:51pm Wild Neil:

I think I might have met this guy at some record shop in the late late 80's or early early 90's with my friend Jhan Dean Egg...he was doing a performance, I think the place was an experimental music store...was anybody there from this forum??
  3:52pm BSI:

whoa, if anybody got to meet Schnitzler in NYC, it would've been Egg.
  3:57pm Wild Neil:

BSI-You knew Egg??? I used to live on his dormitory floor in Lawrinson at Syracuse University, he was studying synaesthetic education...
  3:59pm Wild Neil:

I should say, I lived on the same floor, not "on his floor"...
  4:00pm BSI:

@Wild Neil: yep, he was closest thing to a brother I had. We collaborated musically from '86 until he died . I wrote up a huge gooey memorial a while back. Get me off-board at bluesausageinfant [at] gmail , I'll sendum link...
  4:01pm Lewis:

tremendous set - now I have another collecting project!
  4:12pm yes:

def need to work the schnitz into my lingo, too cool
  4:24pm slugluv1313:

oh no - had no idea that EGG was gone too -- knew him briefly here in NYC many years ago -- still have some of the Haunted Toilet stuff . . . :(
  4:24pm Cholly:

I just realized that I have a copy of Matt Howarth's Uberdub comic featuring Con who defends his long time friend Cthulu.
  4:28pm BSI:

@slugluv1313 - sorry, didn't mean to hijack the board with that heaviness. But FYI, I inherited the whole collection of Haunted Toilet masters & I'm planning to re-issue all that stuff via netlabel in the next year or two. The BSI/HT collab. is first, for very selfish reasons..... But for what it's worth, his back catalog is in safe hands.
  4:31pm slugluv1313:

  4:34pm Cholly:

Oh yes the store was Generator! Thats where I met Con also.
  4:38pm Diston:

Excellent tribute to a great artist. Greetings to to Fabio, Gen Ken & all Con friends from Liverpool
  4:54pm slugluv1313:

THANK YOU Fabio and Gen Ken for such a wonderful show/tribute . . . GENERATOR was the best -- i was not fortunate enough to meet Mr. Schnitzer but i still have all the amazing vinyl i purchased there
  4:56pm andymorphic:

  4:57pm ROAT:

Great show guys... JUST
  4:59pm Van in Dallas:

Enjoyed the show so far today. Thanks Fabio and Gen Ken. Gots to run along now though.
  5:06pm BSI:

Finally got around to the Con @ Generator photo. Jeezus, I guess I hadn't seen that place since '89 or '90. I want a super-magnification. Some of those tapes look familiar in their blurred beauty.
  5:19pm tommyB:

Thanks Fabio & Ken. This show gives me joy.
  5:24pm bryce:

hey fabs, egnekn.....

thank you
  5:26pm BodegaMan:

I'm only half listening and this show has been amazing. Wish I had two ears on it.
  5:28pm BigSis:

Thanks, Ken. Loved listening to you today. Always interesting. Always different. Let me know next time you're on.
  5:31pm R I S K Y!:

  5:32pm Listener Dave from Seattle:

Can you do this every day?
  5:34pm Diston:

contact Wolfgang Seidel for the solos and mix your own Con set!
  5:38pm steve_in_ denver:

what did Conrad listen to ????
  5:40pm Diston:

mostly himself i should imagine!...doubt he had time for much else!
  5:46pm steve_in_ denver:

i hear a liitle of the Residents in that last song
  5:49pm Diston:

more vice versa methinks...though Henry, Parmegiani and Stockhausen are possible precursors or influences..
  5:50pm jesse:

excellent show today! thanks for making my afternoon delightful
  5:52pm Diston:

  5:56pm moose:

the dusty pigeon strolls in
  5:57pm Cecile:

  5:58pm hamburger:

  5:59pm ROAT:

MAKE IT A QUAD SHOW ~ keep EGNEKN on the air today
  6:00pm Matt from Springfield:

Clay is asking his typical questions, of a DEAD man through the medium of his friend! This is a new triumph! And a cell ringing on Air! Awesome!
  6:43pm Marie:

GREAT show Fabio (and Ken), a real education for me. If I had ever heard Conrad S. before it would only have been a song here or there. I had no idea what his music was about and how great and original he was. I must learn more about him. Thanks!
  4:32am Jin@CONtribute:

Fabio and Gen Ken, thank you so much for the great show!
I could listen to the first 1 hour of the live show though it started at 4 AM in Japan time. And today I had a chance to listen to the entire show, that was archived. Yes, it was really helpful that the entire show was archived. I hope you have the second CONtribute show! All the best from Tokyo.
  11:03pm emma:

Finally got a chance to listen to this. Shitting mind blowing!!! Thanks for providing the goods Fabio R.I.P Conrad.
