I never miscue a record. I am punctual, well-prepared, and dislike clutter. Outgoing and helpful, I'm always appropriately dressed. I do not behave erratically and have excellent penmanship. My CD's never skip, and I am in good health. I like all the notes, in any order.

  1:12pm bryce:

  1:13pm #K:

!! if you're a DJ, and completely awesome, you can erase a comment & change it! if you're a listener you have to think carefully before posting a comment you can't take back
  1:15pm bryce:

  1:15pm Cecile:

Hey, quick weird question. is anyone here self-employed? I'm considering slowly easing into it over the next 5/6 years.
  1:15pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

Bryce, who is totally awesome, was voted "most likely to edit the comment board" in high school
  1:15pm Cecile:

No, #K, the seriously awesome DJ can erase your comment if you ask them politely.
  1:16pm august 42, 2098:

if you're a DJ, and partly awesome, you can pick the discs & change them! if you're a listener you can only listen.
  1:16pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

  1:17pm august 42, 2098:

  1:18pm hubba:

please ignore me... thanks!
  1:18pm hipster:

It'll be hilarious, again.
  1:19pm BSI:

This is god-damned amazing. My brain is having a baby.
  1:19pm #K:

  1:21pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

  1:24pm L'Enfant Éconduite:

  1:30pm hubba:

"Apparitions-Disparitions" by Henri Michaux
  1:33pm bryce:

yes! that's right :)

i loves michizzle...
  1:34pm seang:

@Cecile--I'm not self-employed yet, but the new edition of The Idler is devoted to that topic--"Mind Your Business"
  1:34pm hubba:

Did you flip the record?
  1:35pm bryce:

i did! GOIN FOR IT
  1:35pm BSI:

well SOMETHING seems flipped.
  1:48pm Cecile:

sounds good, seang.
  1:57pm hubba:

I have a buddy who runs a financial blog and a record label... he's in the red right now, and has had to dip into savings, but he enjoys working from home, being able to tour, and the freedom to do things his way. He's married, and his wife's job is on the brink, so he can continue his operations from anywhere, with minimal pause for relocation. Ultimately, just having a solid overhead and not being inundated with unknown costs... keeping it simple unless you've got the bucks to invest in complexity.
  1:58pm Looms:

Sounds good indeed! The piece reminded me of Francis Dhomont's works at first but the further it goes, the more peculiar it gets. Happy to be listening to it for the first time.
  2:04pm hubba:

  2:07pm J. Fremont Money-Bags:

Cecile: Not self-employed, but pursuing the goal. It depends on what you mean. Are you talking about running an operation out of your home, such as a consulting practice or copy-writing? Or do you hope to run a bricks-and-mortar retail or service business out of a storefront? The former lends itself to "easing into it"; not so much the latter. Take a peak at a good how-to guide, such as this if you're in CA: http://www.nolo.com/products/the-small-business-start-up-kit-for-california-OPEN.html.
  2:09pm Looms:

This was damn hypnotic!
  2:11pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

You Asked: who is bryce, really
ML: That's a good question, unfortunately that isn't currently in my knowledge base.
  2:11pm Cecile:

I don't quite know yet, but thanks for the help J.Fremont, and
hubba. I'm in the exploratory phase right now. I'd like to start from my home, but who knows? My husband probably would prefer a store - he's more extraverted.
  2:12pm hamburger:

couldya imagine walking into a record store and going "hey, I'm looking for that song which goes 'bloop tshhhh bililil, weep oh sik ow dat ai wabba tshhhhhhhh"
  2:17pm nic:

cool cool cool
  2:17pm hubba:

So, is this classifiable as "tone poem?" At least the last couple of pieces.
  2:18pm Cecile:

is this a piece or is it a Bryce mic break?
  2:18pm Ipse Dixit:

I am always punctual except when I skip punctuating
  2:18pm bryce:

hahaaa :)
  2:21pm Looms:

If not an alien, Bryce is a man and can't do several things at the same time (like "singing" and typing) so I assume this is a piece ;)
  2:22pm No Caption:

Is the current FMU homepage pic Bryce, or circa 1972 Rick Wakeman in disguise?
  2:22pm hubba:

oh geeze...
  2:23pm hubba:

Bryce pieces...
  2:23pm hubba:

once you pop...
  2:25pm George of Troy:

That's Bryce at Halloween dressed up as Klaus Schulze.
  2:29pm No Caption:

OK, I see now. I was just thinking that had the rink melted during the infamous King Arthur with ice skaters, Wakeman might have donned a diving helmet to save himself.
  2:31pm bryce:

not *that* far off......

  2:32pm hubba:

tamale time... sorry to ditch out... Bryce, my dear, completely awesome. Ya'll take care!
  2:33pm bryce:

  2:33pm No Caption:

Bryce as young Rick Wakman, how touching <3 What, no sequined cape?
  2:35pm bryce:

ha....it's actually my friend ed, over for a visit
  2:37pm George of Troy:

  2:38pm Mike East:

I just watched the MOOG documentary last week. Rick Wakeman telling stories to Robert Moog was pretty funny.
  2:48pm programming wizard:

Toddlers and Tiaras and Tomita.
  2:54pm hamburger:
