The Sandals - Wild As The Sea
  1:55pm ?:

Thank you!
  1:56pm Em from NYC:

Thanks for these tunes, Debbie. They have me dancing around, in spite of my horrible heat/filthy air-induced headache.
  1:57pm Mark Dillman:

Oh my God! You just played "Bald Headed Woman" by the Jerms. This group was from my home town. We used to play this record at my neighbors house and hear it on Big KEWI radio.. I have not heard this for decades. You have my deepest respect. Thank you.
  1:57pm Ike:

Not bad, not bad at all! "Double Whammy" especially hit the spot. Overall I usually go more for the Liz B. and crazy Fabio-type stuff on FMU but this is nice.
  2:09pm dale:

nice show debbie! jay from londown - is the town abuzz with news of amy? or was it pretty much expected?
  2:10pm Marmalade Kitty:

so sad about poor Amy Winehouse. I loved her voice, this is her kind of music.. RIP
  2:14pm slugluv1313:

yes, i just heard about Ms. Winehouse too, about an hour ago -- all kidding aside about her being such a "train wreck" -- the girl could SING! and geez, she was just a kid -- so sad -- RIP, Amy :(
  2:18pm Richard from Venezuela:

Fucking drugs. Amy will be missed.
  2:19pm Richard from Venezuela:

Adele will take the torch.

Hey Jumpy - good seeing you last night. Heard you were in the house Debbie. Yeah - Ernie K.
  2:30pm Marmalade Kitty:

@dale: even though people are ill, I don't think people ever really expect that. it's big a shock C'mon!
  2:33pm Marmalade Kitty:

  2:34pm Listener Jumpy from Brooklyn:

great show Debbie! sorry to hear about Amy
  2:40pm Parq:

Next week at Lincoln Center sounds like it's going to be one of the great events of the summer, just like last year's "Detroit Breakdown" was.
  2:40pm Scum Bag Media Press:

It's not like we ask for a lot. Just something big and sensational to provide content during the annual summer news doldrums. Thank you Diana, Amy and so many others who took one for the team.
  2:40pm Jay/ London:

mountain high great song so many people have done it it stands the test of time
  2:41pm Don (trip dub):

  2:51pm Don (trip dub):

@jumpy - my stomp clock is off like the subway countdown clock. Los Straitjackets were last year. The Benny Goodman cover was a standout.
  2:54pm Rob S:

Great show Debbie D!
  2:59pm Don (trip dub):

Debbie D. - you rock as always..
  2:59pm ?:

Did this used to be Rex time slot?
  10:22am Mark Dillman:

I am pretty sure the above pictured 45rpm of the Jerms came in a picture sleeve. I remember seeing it in the 1960s and again in the 1980s. There is a band photo in the online archives of the Lawrence (KS) Journal-World newspaper and there is another 45 by the group heard on You Tube. No links can be posted here so please do your own search if you are interested. Is this label shot courtesy of Deke Dickerson?
  10:49am Debbie D:

Thanks, Mark. I was actually looking for a photo of the Jerms and couldn't find one! Yes, this 45 photo is from Deke. He also pointed me to "Since You Went Away" which you can hear on youtube. Glad you were listening when I played it, Mark.
