Listener comments!

  9:04am
hamburger / london:

ohyea
  9:07am
annie:

....and away we go!!
  9:11am
Tom G:

I thought this was Can for a sec!
  9:15am
tomasz.:

this is really cool, but it should probably have come with a warning, in case there are any listeners who don't want their ghosts exorcised right now.
  9:16am
still b/p:

If each departing ghost would take a few degrees of heat and a portion of humidity away with it on the way out, we would be grateful and glad to do them all a solid when we run into them later in the spirit world.
  9:22am
Tom G:

I have to admit I feel better.
  9:28am
BSI:

Ukulele! The larynx of the gods!
  9:28am
jason:

thanks for joining in on this morning's exorcise!
  9:30am
Tom G:

the breath could use some work to be honest. garlic, coffee ...
  9:39am
BSI:

Good lord yes, stay on this aggressively abstract vibe and I might actually survive this "day" thing...
  9:52am
maja:

yes!
  9:56am
Cecile:

Good morning!
Temp here dropped to 75/high of 86 today. It feels like fall. THANK GOD.
  9:57am
Cecile:

Hey, annie!
  9:57am
Cecile:

Got any Pantha du Prince, Jason? I"m loving them of late.
  9:58am
Cecile:

Wow. Sounds like Ian Curtis is alive and well and living in Dusseldorf.
  9:58am
kTTTTTttt:

great show today! whoa
  9:58am
annie:

cecile!!! long time no see... muggy as a shower here... humidity is probably 200% stifling.. poor farm workers..
  9:59am
Cecile:

That was earlier this week. I literally almost passed out at a bus stop yesterday. Ugh.
  10:00am
Cecile:

Can you run some lemonade to them, annie?
  10:03am
annie:

they carry gallons of water... some of them drink those damn energy beverages.. full of sugar and caffeine.. awful choice for this heat
  10:05am
Cecile:

Yeah, it's got to be water with some kind of lemon - either slices or lemonade...that's what keeps me from passing out. Also NO carbonation.
  10:06am
Cecile:

That's me, though. Plain water is fine at first, but then you have to have some kind of flavor to keep drinking enough to keep hydrated.
  10:08am
annie:

i make a huge pitcher of honey-bush tea with some small sugar... chill and load with ice.. yumm
  10:09am
Cecile:

That sounds great.
  10:11am
pierre:

Bonjour everyone !
Neat comment board/playlist Jason ! Bonjour à toi.
  10:13am
Cecile:

Jason, did you know there was a group from Chicago called The Men in the 80s? They issued a cassette in a paint can, called "men in a can." Never heard it, but a lot of people liked them.
  10:18am
Tom G:

hahaha -- http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=12916821920A23281400&page=1
  10:20am
Cecile:

I get free stuff, but it's out of print things or creative commons. I will always pay for physical CDs or mp3s for things I like. And I try to buy CDs at gigs.
  10:28am
don:

love this one
  10:36am
Carmichael:

Good morning, everyone. Lovely shade of playlist today.
  10:37am
annie:

morning carm!!!
  10:38am
Carmichael:

Hey, Annie! How's cafe life??
  10:43am
glenn:

gatorade. fierce lime. and lots of it. although the folks at the local natural food supermarket swear by coconut water. i'll have to try it.
  10:45am
Carmichael:

Hansen's makes a natural version of G-ade called Recharge. Fairly inexpensive, too. My post-run ritual.
  10:46am
BSI:

.....i'm having a turkish freakout.....
  10:47am
annie:

cafe life is pretty good carm... yes, coconut water is the thing the chef drinks... and tons of it
  10:47am
Yair Yona (Tel Aviv, Earth):

That's a great Turkish tune. there's another brilliant collection: http://www.umbc.edu/MA/index/number8/skoog/skoogweb.htm
  10:48am
jason:

i've been really into good-o ginger beer this summer...it's peppery!
  10:48am
glenn:

bsi - forgive me, but when i see your name on the comments board i have an uncontrollable urge to sing ( to the tune of emi) - bsi, there's an unlimited supply, bsi, and there is no reason why. sorry, man.
  10:49am
annie:

maine root, best ginger beer on the PLANET!!!!!
  10:52am
Carmichael:

The preferred drink of pregnant women everywhere! My wife downed ginger beer by the ton when she was with child(ren).
  10:53am
BSI:

@glenn: no worries. I tend to inspire much more disturbing reactions is people. The tin-foil hat is there to keep the haggis warm. Or that's what Wet-Scalp Margaret whispers in my ear. What?
  10:55am
glenn:

i'll go out on a limb here - i'll bet pregnant women in france will choose red wine over ginger beer anytime.
  10:57am
patrick:

yo, jason - is lame drivers down for that show on the 30th at 538? let me know, and keep the spirit of rock and roll alive!!
  10:58am
Dave B:

Howdy folks!
  10:59am
still b/p:

I bought Italian Sparkling Blood Orange Soda for a picnic this evening, just because it is Italian Sparkling Blood Orange Soda. No idea if it's good but the name's delicious.
  11:03am
annie:

fizzy lizzy makes two awesome drinks: pineapple and grapefruit... i stand by their products, wholeheartedly.....
  11:05am
jorgen:

Hallå gubbar och kärringar!
  11:06am
annie:

alrighty folks, off to help 'chele in the cafe.. stay cool, ... as you already are...
  11:08am
Dave B:

@ still b/p I picked up a French brand (Lorina?) Blood Orange soda recently only because the bottle is super cool with one of those Grolsch-like pop tops.

Now I have some cool bottles to infuse some vodka in!
  11:09am
Carmichael:

So THIS is where Elvis went!
  11:09am
The Minister of Caps:

I think this Dirty Beaches record may be one of my 2011 favorites so far. Cover art is ace, too.
  11:09am
glenn:

i don't know dirty beaches, but if suicide played guitars......
  11:15am
The Minister of Caps:

Oh whoa, I only knew the Love version. Jesus. This rules.
  11:26am
pierre:

@ Dave B : wouldn't that be "Orangina" ?
  11:27am
yair Yona (Tel Aviv, Earth):

Jason, let's have a listeners meet up in tel aviv,Israel . How about that? I can give my sofa to one of you
  11:27am
Ike:

Annie is right @10:49 -- Maine Root is excellent ginger beer. Although Fentimans might be even better. Have you tried those, Jason? I don't know Good-O. Never seen it.
  11:35am
jason:

i will try those Ike! i've just been drinking 2L of Good-O at a time, it's so peppery
  11:38am
Tom G:

i can add to the ginger beer love. i love making jerk cabobs and washing them down with a little ginger beer.
  11:41am
Carmichael:

This Cave song is great! If they haven't been to Primavera, they should be going.
  11:49am
Ike:

Wait, is Good-O the same as DG Jamaican? Very cheap, made with corn syrup? The price is right, but Maine Root and Fentimans are better. You'll pay probably twice as much for those, though.
  11:55am
razor bwades in my gums, BOBBY:

Rock, great show Jason. Looking forward to listener party festivities at Coney Island tomorrow.
