  3:07am
Looms:

Hello Mr. DJ!
  3:09am
Larry:

Mornin Bill. My two favorite days of the year in Ireland; Christmas and summer. Guess which one is today???
  3:11am
Bill Mac:

Mornin Gents and others! Jeez Lar, a riddle already? It better not be Christmas cos I didn't even start shopping yet....
  3:12am
Larry:

Sorry Bill, for taxing you so early in your morning. Looms got it right, short and sweet.
  3:14am
Bill Mac:

Hey Man, it's not you it's me.... have a job interview next week... one of the requirements states and I quote - "must be a puzzle enthusiast"... I'm sunk brother!
  3:16am
Looms:

Okay, best of luck for this!
  3:17am
Dina:

Love hearing this on an insomniac Friday night. Thank you...
  3:17am
fleep:

Figuring out what to play is a puzzle of sorts, Bill. WFMU as a whole is quite puzzling.
  3:18am
Larry:

Nah, never say sunk. Go play some battleship. That'll sharpen your puzzle neurons. Sounds like an interesting job. Working for the Federal Reserve by any chance???
  3:19am
Bill Mac:

It's one thing to do things without people spelling it out for you do you know what I mean? I COMMAND YOU TO BE A SOLVER OF PUZZLES! Who needs that kind of pressure? Morning to Dina and fleep!
  3:21am
Larry:

YES I CAN! YES I CAN!
  3:22am
fleep:

Puzzles have answers, life usually doesn't. It makes more sense to hire a problem solver than a puzzle freak. Unless it's a job at a puzzle factory.
  3:22am
hamburger / london:

good morning um B8!!
  3:23am
Larry:

By the way, fantastic music. Your head is a maze of musical intricacies. Puzzle that one out!
  3:24am
Bill Mac:

You gotta admire fleeps on the spot off the cuff philosophy... morning mr burger! and yeah man, whattabout the tunage? Drony yet variatous!
  3:28am
Dina:

This stuff is amazing! Thanks for enlightening me.
  3:28am
Larry:

'on the spot', 'off the cuff', 'tunage', 'drony yet variatous'. The job is yours DUDE!
  3:35am
Bill Mac:

Thank you both... You are way too kind
  3:48am
Looms:

Wonderful set, "Billy Boy".
  3:52am
alberto:

it is my belief that you believe in what you believe,
but i believe that you believe that i beleive in your belief.
  3:56am
Bill Mac:

I think I misspelled varietous...
I still think it's misspelled....
  3:58am
alberto:

lern too spel jeanyus!
  3:58am
Larry:

When you say 'it's' mispelled, do you mean 'it is' is mispelled, or the genitive 'its'? That's an important consideration. Sorry Bill. I know, more taxing of your tired brain.
  4:04am
Bill Mac:

You misspelled mispell Larry..... it's as in it is.... not sure about the genitive "its"... doesn't that have an apostrophe at the end of it? Has anyone fallen asleep yet?
  4:06am
Larry:

For all grammar worries you need to check out Eats Shoots and Leaves. Good book, it'll be under 'A' for Anal in your local library.
  4:11am
Bill Mac:

Yikes, that IS a real book.... it's appealing in a Pandora Box in a kind of Pandora's box way
  4:14am
Larry:

The title says it all. Misplace commas or apostrophes and the meaning can change totally. A panda bear eats shoots and leaves while a psychokiller goes into a diner and eats, shoots, and leaves. Geddit!
  4:19am
hamburger / london:

(have to head off now / show's been awesome mr mac! thanks for the fun!)
  4:20am
Bill Mac:

I get it! You started me thinking about wordplay in general.... must focus!!! Later on, Mr Burger! Thanks for coming out!
  4:26am
Steve:

Mom used to love Fats
  4:30am
Bill Mac:

I just watched a special on him last week, apparently he did some shows around the time Katrina happened. not bad for an 80 year old man that I thought left this world ages ago.
  4:33am
Steve:

We actually lost track of him for a bit during Katrina

http://snipurl.com/fatskatrina
  4:35am
Bill Mac:

Wow, I don't recall hearing anything about that.... it surely got lost in the middle of everything else that was happening at the time
  4:36am
Looms:

Didn't you Bill? We heard about this in France!
  4:40am
Bill Mac:

Katrina itself was a huge distraction here in the US. I doubt that Fats slipped between the cracks but I don't remember hearing the story about him....
  4:57am
Brian in UK:

Mornin' Bill. sincerest best wishes for the interview. Those things are one of lifes wonderments, you put youself through all sorts of scares for something you need but are never sure that you want. Hey. Music will out.
  5:03am
Kevin in oakland:

I'm in oakland ca in my studio drawing and loving your set
  5:04am
Brian in UK:

Have you got 'World War Two Noises' by The Ronettes as featured on Monty Pythons Matching Tie & Hankerchief?
  5:06am
Bill Mac:

Hah! I'm a Python fan and I never heard that! Morning Kevin and Brian! Just trying to keep up here!
  5:06am
Looms:

This set seems to be the boost I need this morning (short night's sleep).
  5:08am
Bill Mac:

Show feels backwards today.... I've been playing short cuts since 3... it's keeping me up!
  5:10am
Looms:

Oh, you're doing good as always, don't worry.
  5:10am
Brian in UK:

It was a sneaky record, Bill. Both sides were side 2 & on one side there was a double groove so it lasted about 10-12 minutes then you had to start again & hope you got the other groove. Funny boys.
  5:12am
Bill Mac:

I remember it well.... I think I had been so into the two of their other records at the time (1973?) that I didn't get into Matching Tie & Hanky.
  5:13am
Brian in UK:

Given those heady daze it took me a while to figure out the trick!!!
  5:16am
Bill Mac:

I wonder how many people bought the record and didn't get it?
  5:16am
ERM:

what is this language? somethnig between finnish and esperanto
  5:17am
Looms:

Just learning about this "double grooves" side by the Python, it was a pretty good idea :)
  5:20am
Bill Mac:

ERM, I think it's Spanish, but i haven't been able to confirm anthing else about Pau Riba
  5:26am
Looms:

Pau Riba sings in Catalan.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catalan_language
  5:32am
Bill Mac:

Thanks Looms.... Info I got on this album is that it was originally released in 1970
  5:33am
Brian in UK:

Gotta cut & run, Bill. Good luck.
  5:34am
Looms:

Yeah, Talking Heads!!!!
  5:35am
Bill Mac:

Later Brian! Looked for Matching Tie... only one we don't have
  5:58am
Stanley:

That's exactly how it is here in Scotland
  5:58am
Bill Mac:

Ok Folks, as always, thanks for your continued support. Shall we say this time next week?
  5:59am
Bill Mac:

Yo Stan!
  5:59am
Steve:

Amazing show, thanks Bill!
  6:00am
Looms:

Thanks Bill, best wishes!
  2:48am
Scraps:

So happy you played “And One (on One)”. It’s gorgeous. Lilys are up and down, but =The Three Way= is their best by far, one of my top 100 rock/pop albums, and “And One (on One)” is the best song on it. Cheers.
