Listener comments!

  9:04am Parq:

G'morning, Fidel! On this hot day, looking forward to your making it a little hotter.
  9:10am fidel:

morning, parq! loving this hot weather.
  9:11am hamburger / london:

Greetings comrades!
  9:15am pierre:

hola ! from Paris !
  9:16am PKNY:

"The Mexican"! So so dope, thanks for playing!
  9:17am Parq:

Wow, haven't even thought about Babe Ruth in decades.
  9:30am Ike:

Hola! This Heat is great whether it's hot or not.

This song must've been what Clay Pigeon was talking about when he said he liked Holger Czukay. It's sort of Pigeony.
  9:40am Aaron in JCity:

ooohh crab - thought he said something else - kids are were wondering
  9:41am ralphinator:

loving this set, fidel.... great way to start a summer day!
  9:41am postmanpaul:

One crab is one too many but several o' the little critters is plain careless.
  9:43am Joshua:

What's the background music? Heard it so many times here, but have never known ...
  9:46am fidel:

background music is nelson riddle's "lolita ya ya" from kubrick's lolita
  9:50am northguineahills:

It's always a good day to listen to Yoko.
  9:52am ajrr:

agreed, northguineahills.
  9:53am postmanpaul:

Not crowing, but I'm so fcucking lucky to catch wfmu after work's all done for the day here in the UK.
  9:54am Maria D:

More Yoko, please!
  9:59am northguineahills:

Bye y'all, time to go to work!
  10:01am CHRIS R:

  10:03am moose:

do girls really like the boom?
  10:04am girls:

  10:04am Cars:

  10:08am john:

I wish I was listening on something other than my crappy work computer speakers.
  10:09am mike g:

Usually don't like "My Girl", but this version is A-Ok.
  10:11am Mr. Haffulglass:

In the land of no speakers, the man with crappy ones at work is king.
  10:17am Cheri Pi:

Pierre was just talking about the Lo Yo Yo on the board recently- nice to hear them.
  10:19am don:

empire records!!
  10:23am fidel:

@cheri pi the whole record is worth checking out! i highly recommend it.
  10:24am Dead Corporate Eyes:

cool tune...Badfinger....I thought they only had "two" songs!
  10:30am Joshua:

SFA are from Wales.
  10:30am Dead Corporate Eyes:

  10:31am Andrea on the M62:

Hehe super furries are welsh!
  10:31am krebstar:

SFAs = Welsch
  10:33am ?:

  10:34am moose:

that IS the best album cover ever
  10:37am Parq:

May I be so bold as to opine that she's not dancing with him, she's wagging her finger at him and chiding him with the title phrase. That album came out during the height (or should I say depths) of his W'gate troubles (self-inflicted).
  10:39am fidel:

you are most likely right! he is most certainly NOT dancing, which is very much in character.
  10:53am Jeff:

Digging this right now! Great show Fidel!!
  11:07am Cecile:

hola, fide, all!

damn, missed the Cars that Go Boom. But yay! Scissor Sisters!
  11:07am lewis:

I have just encountered the word "opine" twice in less that 2 minutes...
  11:08am Cecile:

Doing the bus stop in my mind with 7" Elton John platforms rignt now.
  11:10am northguineahills:

  11:11am Cecile:

moar scissor sisters plz.
  11:14am hamburger / london:

  11:14am Cecile:

This Yelle song is huge on the iPod game Club World.
  11:15am fidel:

wow, what's that, cecile?
  11:16am hamburger / london:

pretty outstanding review of Yelle from LA Weekly :3

  11:16am Carmichael:

Good morning Fidel and others. Is it just me, but is there no playlist? Never mind, just popped in now.
  11:17am dc pat:

nothing like Lolita music to creep me right the hell out...
  11:17am Cecile:

This fun crazy free game where you create a little club. It's by the people who do the Tap Tap games - Guitar Hero for the dance/Top 40 set. It's hilarious. You make up this marvelously tacky room and little big headed people come in and drink like fishes but never get sick or hook up inappropriately.
  11:18am Handsome Harry:

I love this background music.
  11:18am Cecile:

You make challenges and then they do a virtual cash tornado and you grab money for your empire. Right now I'm saving up for silver cheetah print couches and for Paul Oakenfold to be my DJ.
  11:20am Cecile:

I actually want cheezy Phillipe Starck plexiglass chairs and Carl Cox, but they don't have those. :(
  11:23am hamburger / london:

omgbuggerjesus - so much awesome! great show Fidel :)
  11:25am glenn:

cheetah print couches? is leopard over? i must have missed it.
  11:25am fidel:

@cecile i need this game immediately. @hamburger / london: thaaanks
  11:26am Cecile:

I have leopard all over the damn place. And zebra. i gotta chagne it up. The little big heads get bored easy.
  11:26am glenn:

what about those big elephant foot ottoman thingies?
  11:27am Cecile:

it's free. Of course, you may be doing in-app purchases. I did a few. i won't lie. And make sure you start making your club look good right away . I dont' know how many clubs are level 20 and look like prison waiting rooms. The hearse doesn't have a luggage rack, people!
  11:28am Cecile:

YES. I have two. But i'm more about the hex-shaped ottomans.
  11:29am dc pat:

I have plexiglass chairs at my kitchen bar. Totally cool. And REAL.
  11:30am Cecile:

And purple rugs! You can get a good look cheap with rugs, tube lights and the standard couches. Spend your money on bar setups and increasing your club size. Do not buy those stupid aliens in a jar.
  11:31am glenn:

sam maloof is rolling over in his grave. ( he says, hoping people will klnow who sam maloof is.)
  11:32am glenn:

will there be big signs in front saying girls, girls, girls?
  11:32am Cecile:

hahhahahaha (I looked it up.)
  11:33am Cecile:

no, it's not that kind of club. It's the kind like Paris Hilton set up in her basement.
  11:34am Cecile:

Or Lindsay Lohan has her picture snapped in front of. Note to all players: if you buy the wallcovering with hearts on it, no love from me.
  11:34am Cecile:

I have my standards.
  11:35am glenn:

so the kind where all your friends take off all their clothes and behave badly.
  11:35am Cecile:

Yeah. Except they don't here. They just dance to Dennis Ferrer and whatever's on the playlist, drink like fishes, sit down in the little chairs, and then leave.
  11:37am KevinfromBayRidge:

Fidel, Unfortunately I have to leave my internet "tether" for a while but it's been a great show. FMUs bench is so mch better than anyone else's first string!
  11:38am fidel:

thank you, kevin!!
  11:39am Cecile:

Usually all the girls leave very early and it's just guys. It's kind of disconcerting but not surprising considering the music I play.
  11:39am 1927 New York Yankees:

We take exception to that.
  11:40am 1990 Pistons:

As do we.
  11:40am glenn:

excellent. just like being sixteen again.
  11:41am glenn:

wiil you play crue, if we ask nicely?
  11:43am fidel:

oh my, glenn.
  11:45am 1976 -77 Montreal Canadiens:

We were pretty freakin' good too, tabernac.
  11:46am Ike:

You are a deeply disturbed individual, Glenn.
  11:47am glenn:

thanks. i think.
  11:49am glenn:

besides, I'M not the one with the night club.
  11:51am fidel:

next time!
  11:51am 1990 Pistons:

virtual night club. It's so cuuuuuuute!
  11:51am Cecile:

whoops that was me. Like it could be anyone else.
  11:52am Handsome Harry:

Great track from Dumbo Gets Mad. And on the FMA, too. My lucky day.
  11:53am ajrr:

CCR 4 lyfe
  11:57am Aaron in JCity:

great set!!
11:57am DJ Attack of the Clones:

More SF Bay Area tracks pls!!!
  11:57am andy s:

hi...don't think i've ever heard you do a show before, but i am really digging what you're playing. just unemployed and alphabetizing my cd's...it's perfect. and creedence! thanks
  11:58am glenn:

c comes before d. boom done. c.d.s alphabetized.
  12:00pm hamburger / london:

fanx again fidel! :3
