funkster:

  9:14pm
Frank:

Lamest KISS song ever?
  9:15pm
efd:

Frank, it has one specific redeeming quality that we will discuss shortly.
  9:16pm
Frank:

The paper gun that came with the LP was cool, though (I still have mine!)
  9:17pm
funkster:

Frank is a closet KISS completist. :-)
  9:19pm
Frank:

I saw them at the Cow Palace in SF on the day Elvis died (with Cheap Trick opening!). Gawd, I'm old.
  9:21pm
efd:

the day Elvis died I was working as an intern in Boston's all-news radio station, and saw the bulletins coming in on the teletype (and passed them to the editor on duty). (Also old)
  9:22pm
funkster:

I was in college and, during the summer, with my family in Brasil (my dad worked there then). <--- no spring chicken
  9:25pm
Danne D:

Hey EFD and Funk Fans. Doing the archive thing with this one - busy with work. Sure it'll be a great show (as it pretty much always is to borrow a phrase). Enjoy!
  9:30pm
frisco kid:

Elvis died August 16, 1977 - I had to look it up. That was the summer before my sophomore year in high school, I was probably partying pretty hard, and I went to Germany on exchange that summer. I remember his death being a big deal, though.
  9:39pm
Bobby J:

ROCK JUSTICE! San Francisco - Summer of 1979. Boy do I remember it well 'cause the local AOR station promoted the LIVING HELL out of it during every break. It sounded AWFUL and thus I never went to go see it.
  9:39pm
?:

  10:28pm

  10:39pm
efd:

Setting Sons. A fantastic album that I don't own anymore for some stupid reason. I have all the others, not sure what the hell happened. Situation must be rectified.
  10:54pm
Holly in NC:

Anyone else LOVE the original version of 'Underwhelmed' ? From the Peppermint ep, not the totally inferior lp version.
  10:54pm
Kat:

@Billy Jam - it's in 6 parts, first part is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2BSRqR9QgI and click onwards from there. it's great.

Julie:

We're gonna die but we still got ten days...so it's party time!
  10:59pm
john:

Oh darn, just got here. Missed the whole Renegades portion of the show. Of course, with an hour to go, you can play them a dozen more times.

Oh, and gueule is somewhere between gull and rhyming with full. Can mean face or, when you're telling someone to shut it, mouth. Knew there'd be a reason for the French major one day...
  11:00pm
Julie:

I'm having a finewine moment
  11:01pm
cheri:

evan,,,there's no better friends than you & julie!!!!
  11:02pm

  11:03pm
Droll:

[Blushing from being remembered since last EFD post May 12, 2008]. I've been listening all along (yes, it's just like a mix tape someone talks over).
But more importantly, you're always proving you're the man on FMU for CC. I know April Wine is nearby.
  11:05pm
cheri:

evan i think you buy should some chocolate milk for julie,,
  11:05pm
Kat:

going to the DEMF Memorial Day weekend...different kind of Detroit music...Dirtbombs are playing tho!
  11:06pm
Holly in NC:

Detroit Music is reminding me of Roscoe Music. Not a bad thing, I hasten to add ;-)
  11:07pm
Adam in Lynnwood:

@Julie, never you fret. The rapture is sponsored by Hershey's.
  11:07pm
Julie:

@Adam ooooh...so instead of blood pouring in the streets it'll be chocolate sauce? SCORE!
  11:07pm
Holly in NC:

er, Rosco. Only Brits can get away with extraneous vowels.
  11:10pm
Adam in Lynnwood:

Oh, yeah, that won't be blood. Simply cherry chocolate excelsior. We each get a palm's worth.
  11:11pm
Julie:

May as well go out tasty!
  11:12pm
Adam in Lynnwood:

...and light of body and mind.
