cheri:

  12:43am
Woody:

Thanks Cheri! Good to know I didn't scare you off with synth madness!
  12:48am
seizure palace:

This Trythall record is like Epcot meets the Deathwish 3 soundtrack
  12:52am
Esteban:

Is it pronounced "moog" as in "boo!" or "Hoag(ie)"? I always pronounced it like "boo".
  12:55am
Woody:

Bob Moog's last name rhymes with hoagie, but the synth gets called whatever. He also made the Mooger Fooger that only works as a pun on mutherfucker with the hoagie pronunciation
  1:03am
Esteban:

Ha! I didn't know that. The proper pronunciation sounds less Fisher-Price and more Steinway, now that I think about it :)
  1:09am
Ike:

Hey there. Just got home. Especially enjoyed Roscoe Mitchell.
  1:17am
Ike:

For Thai, oddly enough, "th" is pronounced "t" (like in the word "Thai") and "ph" is just "p." And the "r" is often elided or sounds a little like an "L." That's about all I've learned so far. (I still can't get the tones right most of the time.)
  1:38am
Woody:

This has been one of the more educational playlists for my show in a while...

Good morning Woody and everyone
  1:57am
Julie:

Am I too late for the elocution lesson?
  2:23am
Adam in Lynnwood:

Ahhhh, Fred Anderson! Great pick, Woody. I am now nearly certain to play some pieces featuring the amazing drumming of Hamid Drake before fading low for the night.
  2:25am
Woody:

Used to see Fred play with Hamid all the time back at the Velvet.... what an institution!
  2:27am
Adam in Lynnwood:

Wow!!! I am more than five shades of envy green. I have only facsimiles of those moments, provided by recordists visual and aural.
  2:29am
yair Yona (Tel Aviv, Earth):

FYI , Israeli saxophonist Albert Beger has recorded a love show with Hamid Drake and will soon be released , the show was dedicated to Fred Anderson
