A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

good sunny morning all, now that i have accomplished my first IT snafu, on the the next...
  9:17am
Bad Ronald:

usually you can right-click an image to capture it's URL but flickr likes to make things a little difficult so I had to dig through the source code and look for a URL that ends in either GIF or JPG.
  9:19am
trouble:

i have a mac, so we don't do right click, i think, right?
  9:20am
Bad Ronald:

for a one click mac mouse it would be "option" click.
  9:23am

still b/p:

This sounded at the start like a remix of H&O's "I Can't Go for That." Instead it's a nice track that answers the question: Who's da DJ, now, who's da DJ?
  10:30am
Jennique:

Nice theme song for you Trouble. Should have it playing whenever you enter a room.

  10:53am
nancy:

There seems to be a problem with the stream...
  10:56am
Jennique:

Trouble - maybe you could just hire a burly bodyguard with a giant boombox on his shoulder and he just plays the song as you both enter said room of choice.
  10:57am
trouble:

anybody else having a problem with the stream?
  10:57am
βrian:

The bodyguard should be named "Rubble."
  10:58am
columbus pat:

enjoying the stream in ohio this a.m. thank you! 32 kbps mp3, by the way.
  10:59am
trouble:

  11:01am
ian-ann arbor:

streaming loud and clear in A2. loved the phyllis dillon song!
  11:01am
Jennique:

Whoa - this sounds like some moog elephant dub cry from the hills of Jamaica. Or backwards Godzilla shriek.
  11:02am
antonio-madrid:

I can´t stream any MP3...128 or 32k
  11:03am
columbus pat:

Spoke too soon. 32 kbps is buffering like a mofo now. Still haven't lost it completely.
  11:08am
tr;sh:

I'm listening to 128k stream..
  11:08am
listener james from westwood:

128K stream through itunes sounds good and is holding up w/o buffering, etc., if that helps.
  11:08am
Skirkie:

  11:08am
procedura:

trouble:

thanks we are working on it
  11:09am
annie:

winamp goin' like gangbusters, here.
  11:10am
listener james from westwood:

@Parq: "Orwellian network" sounds like the time HR dragged me down to their office to tell me to stop streaming FMU. Could've been handled in a phone call or email, but they felt the urge to put on the principal's hat. (Epilogue: Now happily freelancing and streaming as I goddamn well please.)
  11:10am
erella:

no problem here in toronto
  11:13am
trouble:

bonjour erella!
  11:13am
Parq:

James, glad it's worked out for you. Freelancers have my I-wish-I-could-do-that admiration. I have just about the least entrepreneurial job in the world coz I'm too chicken for that stuff.
  11:16am
listener james from westwood:

Sometimes that fear's a good sign that it's somewhere you should go! But it did take me a while to adjust & get the knack of hunting. Still learning, but much happier than I was.
  11:17am
JT:

FACT: I work much less effectively when I'm not listening to WFMU.
  11:24am
seang:

Wonderful sounds this morning--the libraries are listening
  11:25am

roubaix pronounced: 'roo bay' like 'paix' (peace)
  11:44am
trouble:

meci free french!
  11:47am
popo:

yes, my bad, thought it was aix stand alone like the place...isn't it roubaix like rib eye? petit paix is like payee...
  11:49am
βrian:

Nah, no dipthong in paix. Similar to "eh."
  11:51am
Free French:

'rou' like a wheel 'roue' or a street 'rue'. aix like in paix = pay with a very very short clipped 'a' and 'y'
  11:51am
βrian:

  11:53am
