Favoriting Brian Turner: Playlist from February 15, 2011 Favoriting

Order and disorder in a freeform haze of terribly-played guitars, shorted-out electronics, found audio detritus, strange sounds from strange lands all around. Psych-punk-junk, collage, even pop. Lots of in-studio live performances to boot.

Shea Stadium isn't in Greenpoint. It's on Meadow Street, basically between Montrose and Bushwick Avenues, south of Grand. East Williamsburg, I guess; a few miles from Greenpoint.
  4:59pm
bill:

Why is Aquarius sitting out SXSW? Are they in trouble, God forbid?
  5:00pm
northguineahills:

Shea Stadium is two blocks from my pad, I hate the realtor term, "East Williamsburg", so, I'd just call it "Bushwicky".

3PUEN:

yeah brian whats up with that flloud's quid track?
  5:04pm
Matt from Springfield:

Looking forward to KUSF-in-exile, thanks for lending support to them, WFMU.

I visited that Amoeba Records in San Fran a year and a half ago when I visited there. It is the freakin' bomb--supermarket sized vinyl emporium, every genre you could think of!
  5:08pm
Chris from DC:

Yeah, I saw the Clean do an instore at Amoeba. Love that place.
  5:37pm
Matt from Springfield:

Kim Wilde!
  5:45pm
JCJ:

@northguineahills, being born in NY I can assure you that the phrase "East Williamsburg" has been in use at least most of my life, and probably going back to the days of the City of Williamsburg. What the realtors have done is extend it further east.
  5:54pm
dw:

Merzbow lovely! Fun show this aft, Brian!
  5:57pm
Matt from Springfield:

Accept the dares from the New Bin, Brian! The music usually knows what it's doing!

Very fun show this aft indeed--have a great night!
  5:58pm

et un grand merci au BADGER !
  6:00pm
I Saw The Devil:

Amazing show today! Took a completely different turn after that Frown song. What a great ride as always! Cheers.
