You see a blanket on the ground. It's your favorite color, smooth and soft. You can sit on it, or lie on it. It's a flying blanket, and you are the pilot. You are in control. You can fly anywhere you wish, just by thinking about it. You are the pilot.

Listener comments!

  Sun. 8/15/10 6:06am Looms, awaking:

Hello there! I'm hearing weird sounds, is my brain still numb?
  Sun. 8/15/10 6:09am Tom L:

Morning Dan, Looms and unknown listeners everywhere.
  Sun. 8/15/10 6:15am Dan B:

Ah Looms, sleepy-head. This is your brain on WFMU. Morning, Tom -- got your package, thanks. Haven't had a chance to check it out yet.
  Sun. 8/15/10 6:17am Héctor:

Good Morning, Dan and everybody anywhere!
  Sun. 8/15/10 6:18am Tom L:

Glad it got to you, Dan.
Sun. 8/15/10 6:19am Looms, enjoying his coffee:

Morning Tom & Hector!
Yes Dan, you're right; and this is why i love the station.
  Sun. 8/15/10 7:07am Elwyn:

It's always nice to get some Sun Ra.
  Sun. 8/15/10 7:12am Dan B:

Sun ra-ise time. Maybe we should have some Sun Araw too.
  Sun. 8/15/10 7:16am Elwyn:

Or that band that has Sunburst in its name?
  Sun. 8/15/10 7:17am Tom L:

Or Sunburned Hand of the Man?
  Sun. 8/15/10 7:18am Elwyn:

OK. I'm a moron. I meant Silversun Pickups.
  Sun. 8/15/10 7:20am Dan B:

Sunburned Pickups of a Raw Man
  Sun. 8/15/10 7:21am Elwyn:

My friends would look at me weird if they knew I'm enjoying this song. Then again, my friends are the sort of people who didn't enjoy the last track on the current Yo La Tengo album.
  Sun. 8/15/10 7:24am Dan B:

Rangda is a super-group made up of Sir Richard Bishop, Ben Chasny, and Chris Corsano. You're in good company now.
  Sun. 8/15/10 7:28am Elwyn:

I know. :-)

I've got to listen to some Arto Lindsay and Glenn Branca when I get home.
Sun. 8/15/10 7:30am Looms, hanging up the phone:

Ha ha! My 7 years old niece just asked: "what's that background noise"?
  Sun. 8/15/10 7:34am Looms:

Brain Sound... This is for me, right?
  Sun. 8/15/10 7:50am Dan B:

@Looms, yes, we recorded your thoughts while you were sleeping. We will send along your royalty checks, don't worry.
  Sun. 8/15/10 7:56am cpr:

Ira Kaplan loves Glass Trees.
-quoted for truth
  Sun. 8/15/10 8:10am Looms:

@Dan: now i know i'm a freak...
  Sun. 8/15/10 8:11am Looms:

Did you play Los Vigilantes at the regular speed?
  Sun. 8/15/10 8:16am Elwyn:

Goodnight everyone! (I'm in Sydney, Australia)
  Sun. 8/15/10 8:23am Dan B:

@Elwyn, gnight mate. @Looms, Los Vigilantes was a 45 played at 33. @CPR, nice. I keep being on vacation without the CD so I haven't played it yet.
  Sun. 8/15/10 8:28am Looms:

Ghost Train of Freak Mountain is a most lovely song (seriously speaking)
  Sun. 8/15/10 8:37am Rob W:

Peter Stampfel & Baby Gramps together = truly a match made in heaven
  Sun. 8/15/10 8:47am Dan B:

@Rob, yeah, those guys complement each other perfectly
  Sun. 8/15/10 8:55am Looms:

Thanks Dan!
  Sun. 8/15/10 4:20pm Rick:

I slept in, and the show burbled nicely in the background while I drifted in & out of slumber. Baby Gramps formed the soundtrack to a dream. He was a geust at small gathering, invited to perform, but not at all known by the guests. His face in the dream was as clear as could be, but I don't even know what he looks like. it was a strange but very nice dream.
