and the heat goes on
  12:11pm R I S K Y:

  12:16pm Liz B.:

Anyone catch Omar Souleyman over the weekend? He played a killer set at Issue Project Room yesterday!
  12:18pm BSI:

raging joyful opening set...... I don't suppose there's any classic bhangra in there? Happiest music on earth.
  12:22pm slugluv1313:

ahhhhhh! OMAR!!!!!!!! he was totally killin' in Central Park!!!!!!!!! but alas, i missed his gig at Issue Project room . . . MUST learn to dabke, though, i saw NO-ONE doing this at the Park!!! :(
  12:27pm Scott B.:

Was lucky enough to have caught Omar Souleyman last night and I gotta say that it might be my favorite concert of the year so far. Just a blazing performance and by the end, I think everyone was actually on their feet and dancing - don't see that too often!
  12:31pm Liz B.:

It was amazing to see so many folks dancing at IPR last night! The heat was almost unbearable, but had it been a bit cooler out, I think the dancing would have been completely outta control!
  12:43pm BSI:

that's the stuff! rockin' dholi.......
  12:54pm Steve:

Woww, this stuff is so awesome. So rockin' and moving. I cannot stop listening. I have to get back to work, but this is worth waiting for. I hope this set is available for later listening. Been listening since 12:30
  12:56pm Liz B.:

Thanks Steve, glad you're enjoying it! The whole show will be archived later today, so you can go back and listen again if you wish.
  12:59pm chris:

Love to Liz for gettin' in goin' on a Monday... Thanks, Liz!
  1:05pm Another Steve:

Hey Liz - How about some 70s urban jungle music ala Mandrill? Can you do? -s
  1:29pm BSI:

Good lord, this motown meltdown project sounds marvelous.
  1:33pm R I S K Y:

  1:55pm Skirkie:

My what a lovely track.
  1:58pm Federico:

Great stuff over here...keep it up!
  2:05pm Mebob:

loving the guitar especially, in the KingKong DingDong track
  2:05pm Steven Gugel:

HI Liz ! Birthday boy Steve here. Love the King Kong Ding Dong.
  2:12pm Skirkie:

Do you leave the radio on so the cat can hear your show?
  2:12pm CheriPi:

I Facebooked King Kong Ding Dong... it was not a band page ((((blush))))
  2:14pm Liz B.:

Happy b-day Steve!! Skirkie, I actually don't leave the radio on for the cat, I'm a little kooky but not that kooky.
  2:14pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

no weenies on this here page...
  2:16pm efd:

I try to remember to deliberately *not* to leave the radio on WFMU when I leave to do my show, but once in a while I forget and I always wonder if my cat gets confused.

Great show, Liz! Thanks for the plug.
  2:16pm Mebob:

I would leave the radio on for the cat, but only if she insists..
  2:17pm CheriPi:

Wow! The story of the Meow Meow song is so wonderrrful! http://www.sleepymammal.com/html/wayang_kucing.html
**ThanksDCE for the correct link, I never would have associated their band name with weenies, until recently.
  2:18pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

you have a very pure mind
  2:21pm Duke of Earl Grey:

I leave the radio on in my apt. when I leave, but really just to scare away burglars. The cats never pay attn. to the radio, even if you're playing cat noises or cat jingle bells, etc. Damn cats ought to appreciate the awesomeness of FMU! What's wrong w/them?!? Anyway, great show Liz.
  2:22pm Dead Corporate Eyes:

am I the only one with no cats around here?
  2:23pm Skirkie:

I used to have a cat. He was an asshole. His hobby was vomiting.
  2:23pm david:

any cat song is alright in my book
  2:58pm jeff-m:

dig that fungi girls track
