Kat:

my summer has a hole in it.
where will I get my disco juice and my sexy cream?
*extreme frowny face*
  11:22pm
Hatch:

I'll be back someday with even more sexy creamy disco juice. Not to worry.
  11:23pm
Mike:

It's a damn shame you won't be doing this show over the summer, Hatch. For the past few months this has been my favorite show on WFMU. Thanks for introducing me to such great dance tunes, and hopefully it won't be too long before we hear you DJing here again.
  11:27pm
Hatch:

Thanks Mike, I really appreciate it. I'll be back. Promise.
  11:35pm
Kat:

please tweet if you do any fill-ins!
  11:36pm
Spoony:

I'm really going to miss your show Hatch. You do something no one else can do, and I can't wait for the next time you're back on the air. It's a jive shame.
  11:45pm
Hatch:

Thank you Spoony.
  11:55pm
Kendall!:

Had to check the site to make sure someone wasn't subbing in. Not used to piano solos this time of night on WFMU.
  11:57pm
Mike:

If you're taking requests, could you play It's Alright by Gino Soccio? That's one of my favorite songs that I've heard on your show.
  11:57pm
Hatch:

Well I mean, it wasn't like the Goldberg Variations or anything.
  11:58pm
Kendall!:

OH WAIT. Looks like my radio was tuned to freaking. 93.9. hahaha well that explains that. Lemme get back to good ole Hatch jams on 91.1
  12:06am
Hatch:

Here ya go, Mike.
  12:08am
Wilk:

Hey from Melbourne, AUS. Maybe some vintage Helen Thomas soundbytes for your last hurrah?
  12:10am
Alistair:

Such a pleasure to listen to
  12:10am
Mike:

Thanks a lot, Hatch. Disco doesn't get much better than this.
  12:11am
Wilk:

...actually she's not crazy right-wing enough.. strike that. Boogie on!
  12:14am
Hatch:

I love me some Helen Thomas.
  12:14am
Hatch:

And like her I'm actually being forced into retirement for my comments vis a vis the Israel/Palestine sitch.
  12:15am
Hatch:

Thanks Alistair.
  12:16am
Wilk:

Wowzers. She was all good until she said "Poland".Got any better ideas?
  12:17am
Kendall!:

She probably could have defused the situation by saying "or the moon or Jupiter or wherever they were born." Then people would just think she was crazy.
  12:20am
slugluv1313:

  12:23am
Hatch:

Where's disco "Hava Nagila" when I need it?
  12:25am
slugluv1313:

OY VEY!!!!!!!
  12:26am
Mike:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33cW7kO4-rg

I'm not sure whether or not I should be surprised that a disco Hava Nagila actually exists.
  12:27am
Wilk:

Well Hava Nagila was already pretty disco. They didn't need to tweek it much.
  12:30am
Hatch:

I know there's a trance "Hava Nagila," there must have been a disco version at some point.
  12:33am
slugluv1313:

well somehow *this* comes up as "disco version" . . . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2eSssVX-RY4
  12:34am
Kendall!:

I would love to hear My Baby's Baby by Liquid Gold! Excellent Disco Jam.
  12:36am
Wilk:

Trance may be the only terrain left to head a far as reviving genres for the hipster set is concerned.
  12:37am
bill:

you were trying to think of EPS
  12:43am
(mta) Tony:

Oh my, Hatch, what a loss it is for us! You were always kind to me. All the very best of luck in the world, buddy. I, and many others, will certainly miss you.
I have this song in my library, but it is a classic that would be nice to hear:
Boris Midney / Beautiful Bend doing, "Boogie Motion." The LP version is only on disc 2 of the Boris Midney Anthology. It is 5:05. If you don't find it or get around to it, I still love you. If I knew this was going to be your last show, I would've brought some wine down to you. Fare well and stay healthy.
  12:48am
Hatch:

Thanks so much Tony. You'll see me here again, with wine and broccoli rabe sandwiches.
  1:03am
slugluv1313:

awwwww man MARY JANE GIRLS! PERFECT!!!!!! so cool . . .
  1:36am
Paolo:

Man Hatch, after hearing glowing reviews of your show from friends, I finally decided to listen to your show live, only to find out it's your last one. What a shame man, because it's been an awesome one so far. Hope to hear you again in the future. Good luck
  1:40am
Hatch:

Thanks Paolo. I'll definitely be doing some fill-ins.
