A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

  9:31am dale:

i made a michel polnareff pandora channel for myself and it doesn't play any michel polnareff. go figure.
  9:33am PMD:

  9:36am annie:

  9:36am thecleef:

  9:36am trouble:

  9:39am annie:

  9:55am matheus:

  9:57am north guinea hills:

  9:57am Cecile:

mornin' trouble, all, and Annie!
  9:58am Joe Steele:

I guess this Gorillaz album is out now, huh? Seems like it might be good. Didn't really like the last one.
  9:58am Cecile:

*takes a Boniva and swigs a pint in honor of MES/gorillaz
  10:00am Cecile:

do you have Memories of You by Robert Wyatt? Very much in the same spacy vein...
  10:01am JCityJensen:

Morning Trouble + everybody - you have to check out this Lyrebird… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WeQjkQpeJwY
  10:05am Alex:

What a gem this Judy Perkins tune is. Such a sweet voice. Choice cuts.
  10:07am Cecile:

I would pay to see that bird on tour.
Heh, his name is Chook. LMAO. How Australian.
  10:08am Kendall!:

I don't think you're allowed to hunt owls. Or that you would want to. I don't imagine they have good meat on them.
  10:08am jaypee:

Awww, cute Barn Owl.
  10:09am annie:

sleeping owl..
  10:09am Cecile:

owl cam! Awesome.
All the Shiba Inus are growed up. They get big so fast!

Many sportsmen like nature. Seriously. I have hunters in my family, and it's not just hunting that gets them out in the forest. My 88 year old Father in Law goes out and picks berries.
  10:10am Cecile:

No, Dusty was still healthy.
But they remained fast friends until she passed.
  10:11am Jennique:

Owl cam on. CHECK.
Trouble on the airwaves. CHECK.
It's going to be a good day.
  10:12am Brian:

Boo from Madison.
  10:14am Kevin:

I'm sorry Marina Abramovic, I'd rather watch the owl.
  10:16am Ne-guh-tor:

Cool Owl Cam! You could use the audio during your air checks!
  10:18am Cecile:

the owl audio and the lyrebird. Great YouTubing today!
  10:20am Hugh:

Good morning, Trouble, & all!
The website-USstream.tv, has about 30 cams on. One is located right here in NJ, at Doris Duke's Farm, in Hillsborough,-- the eagle cam--a bald eagle sitting on her eggs.
  10:25am annie:

trouble any news of jean ritchie after her stroke?
  10:25am Cecile:

Hugh, Ustream is indeed the source for baby animals in all stages of development! I think they are doing the work of the angels.
  10:26am Kevin:

Art-world joke alert (Sorry I couldn't help myself.) http://i44.tinypic.com/34pki7r.jpg
  10:26am Jennique:

I know this has circulated the web a few times over, but I still love this site that has cameras mounted on animals backs to give the viewers their perspectives on the world. My favorite is still the armadillo.

  10:29am Cecile:

Jennique, I could spend hours there.

Here's my cute animal vid: Airedale being swarmed by a black sea of Scotties.
  10:31am north guinea hills:

with all of these animal vids/cams, i'm not going to get any work done today. thanks!
  10:33am frenchee:

this mouse on mars track is tres grooooooveeeeee, trouble!
  10:37am Brian:

Oaui, mais Les Water Closets. Un peu risqué, no ?
  10:37am Jennique:

Cecile - love it! I have way too many videos of dogs that make my favorite list. I will spare you all of them, just my all time favorite from some Japanese tv show of a french bulldog going down a slide in a dress.

  10:39am Kendall!:

Did you ever dissect owl droppings at camp? Or in class? It's surpringly fun it's like being an archeologist digging through all that hair and dirt finding bones and skulls.
  10:39am Shana:

J'adore Woody Allen! Merci, Trouble.
  10:45am Cecile:

Jennique, I love that silly Frenchie. Having the time of her life. I saw the Tournament of Roses parade and they had Tillman the Bulldog from America's Best Dog, and he and a whole bunch of bulldogs were surfing down this ramp. It was amazing. And the girl Bullie had a tutu!

I'm so easily amused.
  10:50am Joe Steele:

I got the whole owl pellet experience in 6th grade. Found a vole skull.
  10:52am Carmichael:

Good morning Trouble, bird watchers and feces inspectors.
  10:52am trs:

'owl scat diddly-doo doo-doo'
  10:54am still b/p:

Can someone make some calls and arrange a recording session for a few Bryan Ferry/Tom Waits duets? Thanks.
  10:57am Carmichael:

I've never heard any other Toys besides Lovers Concerto. This is interesting.
  10:59am seang:

sounds like a billy childish tune? Caroline? and anybody goin to the Black Lips tonight in Cambridge, MA?
  11:00am Carmichael:

Oh also, has anyone heard Bryan Ferry's Dylan tribute album? Dylan songs, played kinda slick. They pushed the "smooth" slider up to 11.
  11:13am seang:

Any barbers out there? Is it a good trade to learn?
  11:16am Cecile:

I'm not a barber, it can be a good trade to learn.
However, you need to be careful about student loans - barbers and hairdressers have some of the highest rates of default. Also, it appears that the more versatile you can be - ie if you can do color, curly/wavy hair, African-American hair, etc - the more work you can find.

Most of the hairstylists I talk to would do nothing else.
  11:18am scott NY.:

it, totally a molly day' i met baby molly may this morning getting my coffee from a brew master named molly and now a mother owl named molly ?
all this after watching who are you molly magoo? whats up trouble you put the molly in me. thank you .
  11:19am matheus:

John Barry sure had a twisted view on strippers, huh?
  11:24am seang:

Thanks for the info Cecile!
  11:25am Carmichael:

seang, I have some info if you want to become a Berber.
  11:29am seang:

Like Zinedine Zidane?!
  11:31am Brunhoff:

I have some information if you want to become Babar.
  11:31am Brian:

Zidane who shall forever be known as a butt head.
  11:33am Carmichael:

I was thinking more like Lusius Quietus.
  11:34am Bob:

The Marsen Jules spring-bassy boingy harmonics cut was a nice moment.
  11:36am trouble:

i agree bob, that was beautiful.
  11:39am Kevin:

Sounds like the sportsmen are mowing the grass in paradise.
  11:39am annie:

  11:41am Cecile:

hang out for 20 more minutes, girl!
  11:42am Jennique:

Cecile -

  11:43am annie:

  11:44am glasscapsule:

I really like owls. this is one of my favorite sites about owls. http://www.owlpages.com/ thanks for posting that nest cam.
  11:45am Cecile:

LOL, Jennique!

Ah, Isa! "Mom, let's go!"
  11:47am Igor:

Always nice to hear something in portuguese.

Cheers from brasil!
  11:48am trs:

A face with speaker-like eye disc structures. Imagine what it's like to be an owl w/ speakers for eye holes..
  11:56am trouble:

  12:00pm seang:

  1:51pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Molly The Owl is up at this hour. Preening her feathers and looking out the hole.
  4:35pm Farnoosh from Rio:

Yes! Giving the Brazilian thumbs up right now!
  8:18pm Kristen from WinterWonderland:

Gotta hand it to the Barn! Bom bom bom!
