north guinea hills:

marathon was nice, daylight savings time destroyed. happy mondays......
  9:44am
tomasz.:

this Negativland is awesome
  9:46am
north guinea hills:

on the marathon map, i noticed that there were 72 pledges in my zip code. Then my gf pointed that many people lived in our building. I'd think there would be more people in the wfmu demographic in hood.
  9:54am
bobw:

yeah, that's one of my fave negativland pieces! i think that i have the psa 7" that they sampled, too. it's from the 7th day adventists church. they pumped out a slew of psa 7"s in the 90s. some of them were pretty weird.
  9:54am
north guinea hills:

Ha!, I thought Madder Rose would be a perfect complement to "madder red" by Yeasayer.
  10:17am
north guinea hills:

morricone, good monday music.
  10:25am
dc pat:

oh, crap JUST miss morricone
  10:28am
Cecile:

WOW! That is wild! But it's true! It's so true.

Dogs are awesome.
  10:29am
trent:

The had to melt the ice when Depeche Mode came because Dave Gahan turns into a werewolf when he smells blood
  10:29am
Cecile:

LMAO.
  10:30am
north guinea hills:

I had no idea Conway Twitty was dead. Where have I've been?
  10:33am
Cecile:

Bob W, do you have some Tom T. Hall?
  10:36am
dc pat:

drinkin+lovin=fun
  10:37am
Ne-guh-tor:

What the f**k is a 'Doo-wacka-doo'?
  10:39am
Cecile:

It's like Mad Libs.
  10:39am
dc pat:

ROCK. New fave band: Many Mental Mistakes.
  10:42am
Carmichael:

Good morning Bob and people of popularity.
  10:43am
dc pat:

man, that was perfect.
  10:44am
Carmichael:

Damn, the lasdt person I ever expected to hear here was Roger Miller. And I missed it.

Gotta fix my Do Wacka Do.
  10:45am
north guinea hills:

wait, Jason is using "donna summer" nom de musique again?
  10:45am
bobw:

they should bottle the ice at msg after they melt it down and sell it. "product may contain the dna of whomever donald brashear destroyed this past season." manymental mistakes are on you-know-who's premium!
  10:45am
Brian:

That MMM song was perfect! Thanks!
  10:48am
paul:

technicaly it's DJ Donna Summer, which he started using a few years ago for his more clubby stuff. but he is almost done with a new Jason Forrest album...
  10:53am
Ne-guh-tor:

I must meet this Modesty! I must be accepted in her queue!
  11:09am
dc pat:

excellent show BobW. Great ride.
  11:10am
Parq:

I'm so immersed in work that I just now noticed this lovely Richter air. Thanks, Bob. And thanks to all you guys for your outstanding marathon performance. I'm proud to have played a small role.
  11:21am
dc pat:

man I don't suppose MMM are going to make it to DC any time soon...they look like a pretty intense live group.
  11:25am
bobw:

i don't know... i've just discovered MMM, too. http://www.myspace.com/manymentalmistakes
i'd love to see them live, as well!
  11:27am
dc pat:

ok, I guess that's it--you have to get them on your show.
  11:31am
minnesota jeff:

Whoa, WFMU listeners really came through in the clutch it seems! Nice marathon total!
  11:34am
Cecile:

bob w, while me and a whole lot of people were waiting for a webinar that never happened, I shared your MSG story with them, and got a bunch of laughs! So thanks! WFMU bringing people together again.
  11:36am
dc pat:

I liked that Lonelady but man, she's gotta come up with a better name than that...
  11:40am
bobw:

instead of "lonelady" how about "dronelady?" "tonelady?" "sconelady?"
about having MMM come down for an on air performance, i'll invite them. maybe i can help set up a little gig for them, too. i was considering putting on a concert of quebec bands for ste-jean baptist day...
  11:41am
north guinea hills:

My gf was ashamed that no one in Mexico (she's Mexican) donated when people in Chile did, so, she put a dot on the Marathon Map at her old address in Monterrey, Mexico so Mexico could represent.
  11:43am
dc pat:

Sounds great!

How about Telecasterlady?
  11:43am
north guinea hills:

nice kevin drumm, not as abrasive as most of his other stuff.
  11:45am
dc pat:

that's because anybody who was going to pledge in Mexico got killed by the out of control drug motherfuckers. Can we please legalize these drugs and take away their business already??
  11:48am
pseu:

thnx for the beautiful and soothing music this morning Bob, it's the perfect panacea for m-thon hangover! xo
  11:51am
north guinea hills:

what dc pat said......
  11:53am
brock:

loved that besnard lakes, also the Modesty Blaise, never knew where that horn line came from before
  11:53am
north guinea hills:

when i first started to visit Monterrey a few years back. it was a nice safe city. now the narcos are taking over. a bunch of them robbed everyone at a rave a w/ automatic weapons a few weekends ago. scary. i used to love dj'ing there.
  3:08pm
Vaaan:
