Listener comments!

  9:20am
morning jason!!:

good to be here..
  9:22am
dj jason:

g'morning morning jason! welcome to the party
  9:26am
postmanpaul:

hi jason, city slackers and officionados.
Jason, i caught an interesting bbc radio3 prog on sat with keith tippet highlighting a recording catalogue that spans over forty years... particularly liked his early work. thought i'd share that with ya.
  9:28am
annie:

i am stoked for yoko!! so glad no bottling till thursday, now
  9:28am
jason:

hey pmp and annie!
  9:32am
north guinea hills:

Yoko was such a delight last night, can't wait for the interview.
  9:49am
north guinea hills:

that csc funk band 7" is a nice surprise considering it came from matt & colin et al....
  9:58am
Cecile:

Morning all!

That's right, today is YOKO DAY!
  10:07am
Cecile:

wow, that's very Tull-like. Is Bon Scott's pre-Seedie group Fraternity on there?

Can you play some Coloured Balls if you got 'em?
  10:18am
Cecile:

MAN, Drunks with Guns. Haven't heard them in FAH-EVAH
  10:18am
numbatwombat:

love drunks with guns! on record! or in other media! big up to the coloured balls, cecile. they were ruff and tuff!
  10:18am
north guinea hills:

Fuzz yeah! Black Tambourine!
  10:20am
WFMU Fan:

Is WFMU on facebook?
  10:21am
jason:

yes, wfmu fan! http://facebook.com/wfmuradio
  10:22am
WFMU Fan:

Awesome
  10:22am
Cecile:

I always wondered if Mike Doskocil had something to do with the Doskocil company that makes gun cases and accessories (Hubby uses the gun cases to carry land store lead minature D&D figurines in.
  10:26am
Cecile:

Jason, I know you love the power pop, could you slap on some Tommy Keene or Bobby Sutcliffe?
  10:27am
numbatwombat:

felt always makes me happy!
  10:27am
annie:

fmu fan: fmu deejays have taken over facebook, and even their dopplegangers, in many forms. at this point, i can't tell who's real and who's a fabrication.. ask dong sun, he'll tell you!
  10:28am
Cecile:

I am getting a new sig line: "Facebook free for 48 years."

Oh, the Bats....
  10:30am
numbatwombat:

the felt into the bats is almost too much! like in a good way!
  10:32am
Carmichael:

Good morning Jason & Tuesday People. Just back from a 4 day-er ....
  10:34am
annie:

had to call in sick, eh carm?? ;)
  10:34am
numbatwombat:

yoko!
  10:35am
jason:

maybe i shoulda played more of a yoko song...since yoko ono will be talking w/ brian turner this afternoon (!!!!!!!)
  10:37am
numbatwombat:

no dude! the penumbra of the yoko is all over this one, even if only spiritually. i did react quickly and viscerally. the first 8-track i ever had heard was live peace in toronto.
  10:39am
numbatwombat:

john's vocals clearly indicate some quality time with the missus (and therapy...
  10:41am
Bad Ronald:

I think they were digging primal scream therapy at the time...
  10:42am
Carmichael:

Annie, I was a good boy all the live-long weekend. I had Valentine's day in there, so I was on my best behavior.
  10:42am
numbatwombat:

janov in the house!
  10:44am
Cecile:

I read this funny/sad article about Christina Ricci. Her dad was a primal scream therapist and his office was in their house. Not fun for a little kid.
  10:46am
Cecile:

Did they have weed?
  10:48am
numbatwombat:

in the eighties i would run into kids whose parents had enrolled them in primal scream therapy and it did seem to work. i think as a form of therapy it probably takes some discipline! not quintron + ms. pussycat! arizona is a totally lame place to go to jail!
  10:49am
Cecile:

I hope they didn't get picked up in the jurisdiction of that jerky sherriff (who actually framed people at one time.)
  10:49am
numbatwombat:

i read the note! i was confused! dude that sucks!
  10:50am
dc pat:

yeah, what'd they do for chrissakes?
  10:52am
Cecile:

Yeah, I usually like to know...

If they had two joints, then yeah, I'll contribute. If they had a trunk of teenage girls or 35 pound of cocaine, I'm not so eager...
  10:53am
Cecile:

I hate to be so, erm, blunt, but that's how I, erm, roll.
  10:57am
Ne-guh-tor:

Great show, Jason! Lovin' it (as usual).
  10:58am
dc pat:

I'm prob okay with pounds of coke too but, yeah..
  10:58am
north guinea hills:

what about teenage scotch, Cecile, would that be okay?
  11:00am
Cecile:

teenage scotch would be doing God's work, for some of my friends. So a big YES.
  11:01am
stingy d:

hi guys!
  11:02am
Joe B:

Slovenly is currently based in Amsterdam, but always maintain that Nevada address as well!
  11:03am
north guinea hills:

I think i'm going to go get some teenage scotch during my lunch break.
  11:04am
stingy d:

christina ricci's dad is going to jail?
  11:05am
Apartament18:

Hi Jason...I hope to see you in Primavera Sound 2010 in Barcelona...my city!!! Nice show today!
  11:05am
numbatwombat:

has that mayor never heard holocausto or vulcano? anal vomit? maybe there should be a brazilian black metal/bailefunk crossover. that would be awesome.
  11:05am
Cecile:

No, Static Static got busted in Arizona
  11:07am
stingy d:

christina ricci's dad is static static's therapist?
  11:08am
numbatwombat:

in the seventies under brazil's military govt. a lot of vocal music was outlawed for potential sedition so outlaws made wild instrumental psych (and lots of other stuff
  11:08am
Cecile:

No, Christina Ricci's dad was banned from Carnivale
  11:08am
stingy d:

this sounds like liz berg and keili's version of cars that go boom.
  11:09am
Cecile:

Chico Science is spinning in his grave.
(pours cachaca in gutter for dead homie)
  11:11am
Carmichael:

I was in Rio in '84, and watched the civilian and military police involved in lots of fisticuffs and boom-boom. And I drank so much cachaca I had sugar hallucinations for days.
  11:11am
stingy d:

cappadon!!!!!!
  11:11am
jason:

hey apt18, hope to see you too!
  11:11am
stingy d:

enforcerer! yes!
  11:12am
stingy d:

please tell me this one is in the fma
  11:14am
jason:

ill work on it stingy!
  11:17am
stingy d:

i'd love a copy of that one. cappadonna is my dude. in a trransition to 3 titans but still stuck on wu-tang segue: did you ever hear the wu-tang kids rap on masta killa's first solo? a must hear.
  11:18am
lil rza:

"my ice power cut like a arrow!"
  11:19am
jason:

stingy let's trade
  11:20am
jason:

sup lil rza?
  11:20am
numbatwombat:

it would be neat if there was a tv show that was like muppet babies but starred the wu tang. rip osirius.
  11:21am
stingy d:

aight bet
  11:24am
stingy d:

i'm seeing my friend today who has that fanatic album too... i'll see if i can borrow it up

http://aightthen.tumblr.com/post/242562149/rip-odb
  11:27am
numbatwombat:

  11:28am
numbatwombat:

  11:29am
stingy d:

my gull she maked that. she a talented one.
  11:29am
numbatwombat:

tell her thanks on my behalf! her devotion to the dirty one is appreciated!
  11:31am
stingy d:

rusty was my all time fav. hurts my heart everytime i think about him. but his life is celebrated in mine. and if you loved him, do the same!
  11:32am
numbatwombat:

already done my friend! indeed he lives on in all of us!
  11:33am
stingy d:

make me wanna cry or somethin!!
  11:35am
numbatwombat:

i was honored to see odb once in 1995. it was certainly more like a ritual blessing than any kind of rap concert.
  11:40am
stingy d:

i missed my chance. but when he died it really struck me, and i'm such a numb jerk most of the time, that it hit me doubly hard. really made me realize how much music effects me, in so so many ways. bah! there goes that one feeling i have! i'll cut it out... but long live ol' dirty bastard.
  11:40am
Cecile:

A Minnesota politician passed on the same day as ODB, so I pretended the flags were at half-mast for him.
  11:41am
