As afar as I can tell Apple Dowdy = Apple Crisp = molasses + nutmeg + cinnamon + flour, butter, etc.,, all mixed together & baked.

Welch's wine; yes! It used to be sold in a decorator bottle, complete with an instruction booklet telling how to make it into a lamp! Really!
  2:29pm Ben:

I can heartily testify to seein' Mr. Rhythm do his SWEETS thing! Saw him in Chicago back in November at the release party and it was a blast to end all blasts (just ask Miriam if she ain't told ya yet!!!)!!!!
  2:33pm Elias:

Rex, your show is the ultimate soundtrack to the formerly terrible job of removing old disgusting moldy framing that has been hidden behind the walls for years and being soaked by a previously unknown leak. Now the job is magical and lovely. Thanks.
  2:41pm Ben:

Reminds me of Peanut Duck...
  2:41pm Boppin_B:

  6:35pm Tom Stein:

The saxaphone was the R'n'R instrument! Still trying to find out who played sax for the Applejacks!
  7:27pm mike:

Hoo Doo The Voo Doo. Was written by my grandfather James "Robbie" Robertson. He hired Darrell Glenn to sing it. They went down to Downey Records in L.A. County and recorded. So it is actually a Downey Records recording. You can read the fine print on the label and see this. This was the only record he ever made! with the B side of "Teardrop Falls". Buenos Noches
  5:59pm Bob:

I enjoyed hearing Sand Flea by the Marauders. I was in the Marauders and played guitar on that record. It was a real kick to hear it after all these years. The Marauders were based in Westchester Ca. in the early 60's. Our rival neighborhood band was The Crossfires (later called The Turtles). Thanks for the smiles and memories.
