Listener comments!

cool stuff.
Do you have Valentine Bros's Money's Too Tight to Mention?
Jonathan Steinke:

"Do Your Giving" is the best song I've heard all week.

morning jason!
Jason E:

Morning! [Celcile:I don't have that song unfortunately)

Ah, well! Enjoying the show a lot!

I always do 80 on Rt 80.

any captain beefheart in our future?
Jonathan Steinke:

Now THIS is a fill-in!! A la KBC/Mark Allen...kick ASS.
Telly Kaster:

Okay, I'm hating already! In the name of heaven, I will hate!

annie, big second on the Beefheart.
stingy d:

could i get a little hernando's hideaway out this mufucka or what!?
stingy d:

nice stingy

you look marvelous. it's better to look marvelous than feel marvelous.
north guinea hills:

West Virginia native here!
north guinea hills:

i always when old xtian folk songs from the virginia pronounce chimney as "chimbley" since it was considered immodest to pronounce any part of the body that could be remotely tied to the act of procreation, even if it sounds like a said part of the body in another word.
Dum Dum Guy at the Gates of Dawn:

What part of the body sounds like "chimney?" Or should I be afraid to ask?
north guinea hills:

ddggd: chim"knee"
dc pat:

kim chee
north guinea hills:

apparently, anything associated w/ the legs is dirty to appalachian protestants.
Dum Dum Guy at the Gates of Dawn:

Well, I've got to hand it to 'em if they have learned how to use their knees to procreate. I am surprised there is not a sub-genre of porn dedicated to this strange and unique practice.
north guinea hills:

Rule 34

"considered immodest to pronounce any part of the body that could be remotely tied to the act of procreation"

Gee, how can one talk about the body at all then? Or maybe I've been doing it wrong all these years.
north guinea hills:

If you spend time w/ some religious mountain folk old-timers, it's easier to understand, but no less ridiculous. (I had some great aunt & uncles that fit the bill).

left WV when I was 3. I only went back to visit my elderly relatives. Everyone from my parent's generation left after college.

lives in brooklyn now.
uncle ben:

hi jason, enjoying the show here in the cold north east of scotland.
stingy d:

"faggot" is legal on radiowaves!!!
stingy d:

uhhhh... pazmanian devil was also allowed. motherfksshhh keepin it real?
stingy d:

stingy doug:

pharoahe MAH-nch from queens... dats from "internal affairs" my g.... i'm outtaa heeeeere
dc pat:

JEEZUS KEERIST! I thought they were singing "Bo Diddley's Dead" instead of "O Happy Day" WTF?

@DC Pat:

it's been a great show so far jason...
dc pat:

AAP: funny. after listening to White Riot by the clash my 3 year old ran around the grocery store singing "Ride, Ride..I wanna ride, a ride ama-oh"

He - brought - me ouuut
To watch Island play
Island play-ay!

And -is - he - hoarse
Be-cause . . .

Was it something I said?

Hey Jason, good show. A lot of the material had a quirky folk quality that somehow reminded me of Catholic guitar masses. As Tony Coulter fans know, that's not a bad thing.
north guinea hills:

thanks jason. nice show.

as someone who lived 20 years in fla, and has been to toronto, fla is still shiittier (except the beaches and wildlife)

nope, very true, Parq!

Do you know where I can get a copy of Richard Vale and The Gems "Free Again"... thank you
Mike Messer:

I knew The Tonyan Family back when they recorded the album which "Who Will Buy" was on. How could I get a copy of that album now?
