  3:37pm

Had this been a real emergency, Shellac - End of Radio would have played.
  3:38pm
pauladepipersdaughterinparis:

had it been a real emergency we would have heard the warning signal and subsequently assumed the duck and cover position
  3:40pm
north guinea hills:

you're no good!
  3:42pm
north guinea hills:

terry riley!
  3:44pm
jeremy the listener:

this is really cool with headphones on. maybe another song you could make the difference only 1/4 of a second off; that'd mess me up good
  3:46pm
jeremy the listener:

well... that just sounded like an echo. no messing ensued
  3:47pm
north guinea hills:

jeremy, you can also just put both the realaudio and windows media player on at the same time like i am right now....
  3:48pm
jeremy the listener:

well then i'd have to double my yearly donation to the fmu lol
  3:49pm
doug from dc:

NGH, thanks for the serving suggestion.
  3:50pm
Ike:

People still use RealAudio?!?!! ;) I guess you can't really use the AAC+ for this though, since it's about a full minute or two behind the MP3 streams. That's probably not the right amt. of echo.
  3:50pm
north guinea hills:

no problem, doug, i need to do something every now and then to keep me sane at work w/o coffe...
  3:50pm
drooling:

this is delicious
  3:50pm
Chris:

Don't seem to have the bandwidth here today, but I'll try that at home....
  3:51pm
north guinea hills:

it's perfect for the riley piece, as it loops about 5 times per minute....
  3:51pm
Marshall Stacks:

I have the original verison by the Harvey Averne Dozen but can't figure out which Terry Riley album it's on. I recall that many of his albums have similar names, and his Web site wasn't much help. Anyone have a label name & catalog number, say?
  3:52pm
north guinea hills:

You're Poppy Nogood.
  3:52pm
Marshall Stacks:

For "verison" read "venison."
  3:52pm
BSI:

getting tastier.... need a lobster-bib for this tune....
  3:54pm
jeremy the listener:

left channel forward -- right channel reverse?
  3:58pm
DeemerDave:

Methinks You're Nogood has gone on a bit too long. Michael Shelley would be horrified.
  3:59pm
Cool Tool TIme:

Righty tighty, lefty laggy.
  4:03pm
Carmichael:

Surf is absolutely up, Fabio!!! 2 more hours and I'm on a 2 week vacation.

  4:04pm
pedrothepetrifiedpaedophileinprinceton:

  4:08pm
Chris:

Rocket USA would have been perfect coming out of the emergency broadcasting test.
  4:29pm
Carmichael:

Please update the playlist.
  4:29pm
Cecile:

Fabio, they should give you DVDs to give away, because I think I would win some...

Plastic People, yay!
  4:30pm
esch oder anarchie!:

What is Czechoslovakia?
  4:34pm
Francisco Torres:

The playlist is broken...
  4:34pm
BSI:

egad, I turn my back for one friggin' minute and I miss Plastic People....... sigh........ gotta haul the computer & headphones with me next time I.....uh....... "go"......
  4:34pm
dustin:

plastic people of the universe are a big part of the Communist Museum in Praque.. it's pretty fascinating if anyone is ever they're, i definitely reccomend it.
  4:35pm
Marshall Stacks:

Tom Stoppard's play Rock 'n' Roll involves the Czech rock scene circa 1968; the Plastics are mentioned quite a bit.

It's a good couple of hours of theater.
  4:38pm
BSI:

with the playlist in stasis, I must know: what track was it? Something from the Egon Bondy record I hope?
  4:51pm
Cecile:

no track as far as I know, the wonderful Fabio was just giving away tix to see them.
  4:53pm
fabio:

that is correct, just tix give away. I didn't play any Plastic People...
  4:58pm
BSI:

Whew!
I'll never remove the headphones again...
  5:02pm
Carmichael:

PPU has it's own chapter in Richie Unterberger's Unknown Legends of Rock N Roll.
  5:37pm
Marshall Stacks:

Did you play that in Trouble's honor?
  5:38pm
nic:

NO to YES_god that was horrible
  5:40pm
Ike:

Agreed, Nic! But the rest of the show has been GREAT.
  5:43pm
Fabio:

Come on you guys, lighten up! OKay Yes are hard to swallow, but that is a nice song...
  5:46pm
north guinea hills:

i dig yes. but that's just me....

oh, fabio, i went to tony conrad last week, but i had to wait for my gf to get out of work late. so, we took a cab and got there at 10 (usually, i've been there until 11ish). they had just finished. however, i did see aki onda there, and i hadn't seen him since last fall, so it wasn't all for nought.

thanks again.
