Listener comments!

  6:09am
Chuck:

Howdy, yours truly again... How's the java today? Ah, da cheez! Still gotta love it...
  6:11am
Meghan:

Morning Chuck! the java is cold and starting to work, either that or I am just dancing around. Lots of '60's cheese today!
  6:14am
Chuck:

Ick! I hate cold coffee. It must be the dancing...
  6:15am
Meghan:

ohhh i love me an ice coffee in the summer..... it's a Boston thing...
  6:17am
Chuck:

Hate cold pizza too... Tomato sauce is meant to be hot... I'll take iced tea though!
  6:19am
Meghan:

I have to agree with the pizza.... I like my pizza hot as well. I just feel like cold thick oils aren't very tasty
  6:22am
Chuck:

You bet! That's kind of gross actually...
  6:30am
Chuck:

"Summertime Blues"... I've got like two dozen versions of that myself
  6:32am
Meghan:

Yep that is the other one that there are so many versions.... it's a popular song topic or cover song!
  6:35am
Chuck:

PG was telling me he has an entire CD of nothing but versions of that song... I made it a point to remind him to tune in last night... You should be hearing from him at sometime this morning...
  6:41am
Meghan:

oh nice!
  6:51am
Ken From Hyde Park:

Jane's Addiction is cool.
  6:52am
Meghan:

Morning Ken!
  6:58am
Ken From Hyde Park:

Hi. It's a really nice day so far. In Denmark, Hüsker Dü means "Do you remember?" I remember seeing the commercial for that game on TV as a kid. It was a card game where you find the ones that match. Your summer theme is going great.
  7:00am
Chuck:

I remember that game too! I've never played it though...
  7:05am
Chuck:

Heard that story yesterday during The Vinyl Triumph. Frank likes New of the Wierd too...
  7:06am
Meghan:

Thanks Ken! I know du is German for you.... but never knew what Husker was.... very interesting! Learning something new every day! And Chuck, did he do the dog one as well?
  7:11am
Chuck:

He does a story at every set break. Not sure if he read the same one you've got..
  7:27am
Chuck:

I was wondering if you were gonna play this one! One of the best versions ever!
  7:27am
Eddie Cochran:

Niiiiiccee!
  7:34am
Rope-A-Dope:

Waiting for the Sun
  7:34am
Chuck:

Well, my band plays The Who's version. Maybe I'm biased due to that... Yup, that's the stoned dog story Frank read yesterday.
  7:35am
PETA:

Doping your dog is definitely not cool.
  7:36am
CL:

Hmm,
I just bought a coffee at the Quick Check and saw a minty fresh 65 Galaxie 500 in black.
  7:37am
Meghan:

Who does Waiting for the Sun Rope a Dope? I will put it on for the next Summertime show....

Oh very nice, I would love that car.....
  7:39am
Chuck:

The Doors, Meghan. Waiting for the Sun...
  7:40am
Meghan:

ahhh thanks Chuck! you never know.... with so many sun songs.... and duh me, it goes in NEXT weeks show... not next summer one.... come on coffee!
  7:42am
Chuck:

As long as you're not slipping due to old age, like me... hehe...
  7:43am
Meghan:

Well, for the past 2 weeks i have been helping out with a camp... which is sucking life out of me, so.... who knows!
  7:43am
Rope-A-Dope:

Here Comes the Sun - Nina Simone's version
  7:44am
Meghan:

Ohhhh nice one Rope a dope.... will do!
  7:49am
jeff:

Wait a minute, this is practically another threefor!
  7:51am
Meghan:

Hehehe, busted.... it totally was... but come on, i totally had to! when do you ever get a chance to play something like that!
  7:54am
jess:

i love this song! yay, i was all about Beat Happening in high school.
  7:56am
Meghan:

It's funny, i only knew of the Luna version of this song.... I need to check more out...
  7:58am
Rope-A-Dope:

The Doors also have a song titled "Indian Summer." Popular title.
  8:04am
Chuck:

This turning out the best set of the show! Nice work, Meghan!
  8:05am
Meghan:

it's my favorite set too.... but I think that is obvious, to me at least....
  8:06am
Chuck:

Hang on! The Sundays' cut is from the "Static and Silence" release, not "Blind"...
  8:24am
Chuck:

More '80s please! Love 'em!
  8:25am
Meghan:

ha! well i am glad SOMEONE likes it....
  8:34am
Chuck:

I'll send you my usual list for the sun show... Umm, more cheez!
  8:37am
Jeff:

So the Standells didn't make the cut... or is this a Twofor, even though it's not Tuesday?
  8:38am
Bad Ronald:

Morning Folks! Any chance you have The Surf Punks version of "I Live for the Sun" laying around?
  8:39am
Meghan:

HA! you just spoke too soon.....

I will look for it for next weeks show Bad Ronald... next week is the sun show...
  8:40am
Jeff:

Nice! Throw in Joe Cocker and you have yourself the fourth Threefor of the show!
  8:42am
Meghan:

That would have been the SECOND one... the first was a fourfor.... and i don't count the Galaxie 500 one as a threefor....
  8:45am
Parq:

Sounds like you guys have been having fun. Is it too late to ask where we stand on cold Chinese food?
  8:46am
Chuck:

Revolting!!!!! My feelings about it...
  8:47am
Meghan:

HA! Wow, we are bringing it back to the start of the show! I rarely have cold Chinese food.....
  8:48am
Chuck:

Ah, Jimi opens for the Monkees. Just like in the '60s.
  8:53am
Parq:

Ooh, love those four brass notes that bracket the last verse of "Summer Wine".
  8:58am
Bad Ronald:

Great show, thanks Meghan.
  6:01pm
Steve:

I love the Summer-Themed music you played here. and many of my Summer faves. Loved Nat King Cole. More Mungo Jerry ! Keep up the great work, Meghan !
  4:38pm
Linda:

4 versions of Summertime and not a single Beach Boys song - good job (insert sarcasm)
