  Sun. 7/12/09 12:58am D. Blumin:

Hiya Stingy! Gershon's the man!

  Sun. 7/12/09 1:24am stingy d:

so i'm an understudy in a one man play about phil spector. this morning i found out the wall of sound has bronchitis. so i was thrown into the role. at first i did great. but then i was stifling some coughs. i blamed it on the crowd and the guy playing phil spector kicked out the entire audience. i kept coughing. turns out the insulation in the wall has pneumonia. so this run got cancelled. that's why i was out in the rain. anyway gang...
  Sun. 7/12/09 1:34am D. Blumin:

Man, Stingy, at least he didn't shoot anyone!
  Sun. 7/12/09 1:59am Rarus Avis:

The Marcos Salon & David Morley Urban Ritual came out in 1995 I think.

Listening to the archive over breakfast! Nice!
RE: Alan Dell
The liner notes of that comp say this was his second single, but I cannot find any details about the first single. There is another single on Egg (this is just a small label out of Paris -- nothing to do with that later label out of Scotland) by Alan Dell with a higher catalog number, so I'm assuming that would be his third single. It's a cover of Mungo Jerry's "In the Summertime". Anyway, the original "Blue Sound of Love" single is pictured, and for sale, here: http://ubupopland.com/Records_45_Beat_Prog_2.htm
  Sun. 7/12/09 12:51pm D. Blumin:

Thanks, Mike. Great song! Cool cover! But why oh why call him a "Small French solo singer"?
