  9:11am Paul Sherratt:

annie, I heard Blaize got shot defending a friend. Fine songwriter.
  9:13am annie:

paul, yes, i heard he had died. i got turned on to him by a cape cod dj. i love his singing. been covered by the Hag
  9:14am Paul Sherratt:

Blaze Foley that is. Had a cd released over here by Munich Records ' Oval Room '
  9:14am Drummer Some:

G'morning Annie, Paul and all!

I dig Blaze Foley. He is the subject of Lucinda Williams's great tune "Drunken Angel," on CAR WHEELS ON A GRAVEL ROAD. Foley was indeed shot accidentally whilst trying to break up a bar fight.
  9:15am annie:

the song i heard him sing was "if i could only fly" i also heard a guy clark song "out in the parkin' lot"
  9:15am annie:

doug really? wow.. nice tie-in. i love lucinda!
  9:16am Parq:

See? They put a prayer room in the White House, and it ushered in an era of peace and prosperity that persists to this day.
  9:17am annie:

prayer is the answer!! and it doubles as the situation room too, right?
  9:18am Paul Sherratt:

Would that be The Weapon Of Prayer which The Louvins sang about .. ?
  9:29am Parq:

Very glad things turned out okay with your loved one.
  9:30am annie:

doug, .. hope you had an easy visit there. not sure what was up, but happy to hear your voice and know things are well
  9:30am trish:

No shrimp today?! Nooo!
  9:35am Drummer Some:

Four of the greatest post-surgery words you could wanna hear: No chemo. No radiation.

We'll take it!
  9:36am listerner doug:

Geez... this is making me hungry for a shrimp po-boy.
  9:36am annie:

  9:38am trish:

Fantastic kinda news, Doug.

(Je voudrais manger des crevettes aujourd'hui, comme hier.)
  9:39am Brian Sanders:

Annie, Here is a link to Gurf Morlix's site. Blaze lived with him for several years. There are a couple of his CDs there. I think there is a film due out soon.

  10:36am annie:

  10:46am holland oats:

this is skipping, right?
  10:47am stingy d:

the way that i'm address the style is mad wild. whether at a party or just in bed.
  10:50am Drummer Some:

Yes, I came to the same (skipping) conclusion, but it was the weirdest CD skip I've ever heard. And right in the middle of the tenor solo. I thought for a while it was some fingering effect. Nope, just the zeros and one getting confused.
  11:29am holland oats:

  11:29am annie:
