  7:07pm
TimB:

Bueno!!
  7:08pm
TimB:

Happy Father's Day to all. Welcome to Summer 2009 and the longest day of the year.
  7:09pm
Roy Pea:

Hi, Mon! Thought I'd listen live fer a change, since Father's Day allows me to trump my son for the computer. Drinking a Karma ale and letting the triple onion soup simmer.

Tim B, do you live in Riverdale, by any chance?
  7:10pm
mr c:

beverly hills loves the monica show!
  7:13pm
Gary Martin:

DJ Monica ...I got your premium last week ...2 cd's!!! It is great. Can't stop playing it. Hands down the best fmu premium ever. Congratulations...listener gary
  7:14pm
Dave B:

That was a great tune! Penahi - any chance on label / album info?
  7:14pm
sugarwolf:

what is this 'summer' of which you speak?
  7:15pm
Roy Pea:

Monica, is Butter a boy or a girl? Reason I ask is my dog, Mitzi, just had surgery to have bladder stones removed and you would NOT believe the size of this thing! Yikes! Anyhow, female dogs are prone to them, so I'd like to spare you some heartache AND expense. Two words: baby wipes! I kid you not.
  7:18pm
texas scott:

did someone mention triple onion soup?

yum.
  7:23pm
Roy Pea:

That's right, Texas Scott. Shallots. yeller onions & leeks. Seemed weird to be making soup during summer, but it's been raining in Boston for weeks and it's fairly cold, so to hell with convention.

What part of Texas are you from? I'm guessing Austin Powers.
  7:27pm
paul:

Hey, Mo,

Is it the station or my computer? The sound just went dead. An I was really enjoying the show. Damn!
  7:29pm
monica:

Hey Folks! I'm talkin' to YOU Mr. C in B'Hills, G, TimB, Roy Pea (more on Butter's butt later), Gary M, Dave B (will back announce it), Sugarwolf, Texas Scott, and Paul. Anyone else having a prob with the stream tonight besides Paul??
  7:30pm
texas scott:

Austin powers, only in the mind,as of late.
Cowtown,just west of Dallas.
I'll gladly trade hot and sticky for cool and rainy any day!
With the soup.
  7:32pm
Paul:

Yea! I rebooted and so did the sound. I missed you!
  7:33pm
Roy Pea:

As I recall, Cowtown is Fort Worth, right? Which is also the nickname for Sacramento. Confusing!
  7:35pm
texas scott:

Yes,you are right.I guess Sacramento only has happy cows.
  7:37pm
Dave B:

no stream issues. TWC in NY NY over a Rock Sound Bridge...
  7:48pm
TimB:

No streams problems here Mon. Sounds great.

Roy - I'm from Metuchen, NJ but orig from Manhattan.
  7:49pm
Roy Pea:

TS, do any of the locals ever call it Fort Worthless?

TimB, ok, I have a college friend Tim B who listens to FMU on occasion, and I thought it might be you.
  7:55pm
texas scott:

ah yea,Fort Worthless, and foat wurf...the list is endless.
I was drawn to this area for the art museums and live just down the street from the Kimbal and the new Modern, very cool!
  8:02pm
ed:

what label is that Dutch Glam book-thingy on? No can findy on teh internets :(
  8:05pm
sugarwolf:

i bet at least some of the disco records they burned were really awesome, it makes me a little sad
  8:07pm
monica:

Sugarwolf, there was indeed a major purging of disco records at WFMU many moons ago. Same impulses led to the purging, I'm afraid.
  8:09pm
monica:

Ed, the label it's on is Excelsior: www.excelsior-recordings.com . It's from Amsterdam, I believe.
  8:09pm
rick:

Monica, where did you find the recording of the White Sox disco demolition night? Is that from the web or is it on a CD?
  8:10pm
G:

People tend to socially identify with and against various kinds of music, so it really is kind of like rooting for and against sports teams for a lot of folks...
  8:10pm
Roy Pea:

From what I've read, Fprt Worth looks like a fun place. A lot of places get an unfair rep. I remember going to the art museum in Cleveland and being blown away by the great stuff they had.
  8:10pm
WMU idiot:

Heey everybody. Am I still welcom here? There was carnage on Bethany's show last week. Um... there was this asshole and....
  8:13pm
sugarwolf:

monica, you are bumming me out! stupid rockism!
  8:15pm
sugarwolf:

glad there is a welcome place for disco & dance on wfmu now, tho
  8:18pm
monica:

rick, i got it surreptitiously several years ago and put it on my 2003 Disco Weapons Inspection premium. Steinski helped pump it up to sound so awesome. and yeah, s'wolf - those silly divides have, for the most part, fallen by the wayside.
  8:20pm
WMUidiot:

I'm not much into disco, but this is more techno, so that's OK.
  8:20pm
Tom ( The Bactrian Support Network ):

Like George Clinton once said, ""Disco is llike making love with one stroke "" !!!! guess that's why it died eventually ....
  8:21pm
monica:

wfmu idiot, all fools welcome here, m'dear. PAUL, welcome back!! glad it was a temporary thang. roy pea, thanks so much for the advice re: butter. yup, she's a little bitch. vet said she's "tightly packed" back there. prone to pimples and hard to keep clean but so far so good. G- you're absolutely right!!
  8:21pm
sugarwolf:

all you need is one reaaaaaaallly good stroke sometimes.....
  8:31pm
FMU idiot:

Thanx. I feel loved here.
  8:31pm
Roy Pea:

Monica, which playlist has the pic of Butter? Wanted to show it to my son.

BTW, if you haven't seen it, you should rent "Summer With Monica" by Bergman. As I recall, you are part Swedish, so that seems appropriate.
  8:35pm
miketp:

  8:37pm
easyaspie:

Monica, I'm fairly eclectic in my tastes, but when I get bored with myself, I just tune into FMU for a jolt of real eclecticism. Good show - I listen on-line in Sacamento, CA. So, consider yourself bi-coastal. The sun's still up out here...
  8:43pm
Roy Pea:

Hey, didja see that, Texas Scott? Synchronicity in Cowtown!
  8:43pm
