  Tue. 5/26/09 12:11pm Cecile:

thanks, Joe!!!!
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:13pm rubble:

Great show from Fatburger last week!
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:15pm Carmichael:

Well, as long as we're playing some groovy swinging garage hepcats, the Electric Prunes would be wonderful.

Oh, and Hi Joe!
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:16pm Parq:

Joe, would love to know how you hooked up the juke box so it could play over the air. And gang, if you haven't yet checked out the photos from the event on B-o-Blog, you should do so.
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:18pm Carmichael:

Man, I love King Khan's stuff. Every single song.
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:20pm Cynthia:

Parq, they put two microphones up to the jukeboxe. No kidding. I was there and saw it with my own eyes. I listened to the archive after and I couldn't believe how great it sounded just mic'd like that!
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:21pm Carmichael:

Ya baby! Thanks, Joe!!
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:24pm SmokinJ:

Christ I'm blasted.. Oh, Hey Joe!
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:24pm Bad Ronald:

Any chance you'll come to NYC for a remote?
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:26pm Cecile:

I would be down with the all Farmer John show.
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:29pm Marshall Stacks:

I'd love to hear an all Farmer John show. Oooh - jinx, Cecile.

Don and Dewey, yeah!
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:29pm Cecile:

I didn't know I was awaiting the new mark and the spies album, but I guess I am now!
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:30pm Cecile:

Neil Young did one.
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:32pm Marshall Stacks:

I think NY's cover was the first version I ever heard.
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:34pm Cecile:

Los Lobos used to do it live.
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:36pm Carmichael:

I thought the Premiers did the original. I used to hear it all the time on XPRS back in the day, so I just assumed. Mexican American band along the lines of Thee Midnighters.
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:37pm Carmichael:

Oh, and Don & Dewey's big hit was "What's Your Name?".
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:37pm Cecile:

that makes loads of sense.
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:37pm ?:

don and dewey did original farmer john
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:38pm Carmichael:

Carol & Vickie were righteous.
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:39pm Cecile:

I still miss that show. The great 70s lineup of MTM, Bob Newhart and Carol Burnett.
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:39pm mike:

jim bunning the jackass!
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:40pm ?:

wrong. that was don and juan - what's your name
Tue. 5/26/09 12:43pm Andy from Tillson:

Hey Joe! just tuned in. @ work right now. sounds great!
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:44pm Carmichael:

?, you are absolutely right. I stand corrected. Let me go back and run that incessant commercial through my brain a few more times before I hastily post again.
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:48pm SmokinJ:

Joe you're in that Rockin' Groove..
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:50pm Joe B:

Tillson Schmilsson!
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:52pm SmokinJ:

Fuckin' A...
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:52pm Cecile:

awesome, Joe.
That record is a major touchstone for me.
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:52pm Joe B:

Parq, yes, Cyn is right - there was one mike on a speaker in th middleof the jukebox and one on the bass/subwoofer one.

Hi everyone! thanks for posting/listening!
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:55pm Jumpy:

"Older Guys," huh? I feel singled out.
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:55pm Cecile:

Rank Outsider? Does Pat Todd have a label now?
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:57pm Jumpy:

"What's Your Name" was Don & Juan with "Chicken Necks" on the flip.
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:58pm Joe B:

Cecile, yes, it is Pat Todd! He's got lotsa great stuff - the Condors, Jukebox zeroes ... his own of course.
  Tue. 5/26/09 12:59pm Parq:

That's amazing. I would never have known that was purely an accoustic contact. Hail the mighty Trent and his remote-broadcast magic. And hail the enterprisingly Todd-o-phonic Todd for setting up the show. And hail Joe for presiding over it all. And hail a cab, it's time for my lunch . . .
  Tue. 5/26/09 1:00pm Cecile:

Excellent. I'm glad to see him do well.
  Tue. 5/26/09 1:10pm Cecile:

no? Jay Bennett? My mom had that, and it's tough going. But not usually fatal...
  Tue. 5/26/09 1:11pm Cecile:

LOVE this song.
  Tue. 5/26/09 1:14pm Cecile:

Did he write Wilco's Casino Queen? Because that is the one Wilco song apart from the Woody Guthrie project I really like.
  Tue. 5/26/09 1:17pm Joe B:

Cecile, I don't think he was on the first album.
  Tue. 5/26/09 1:18pm Cecile:

Oh, ok. I still really like that song, though.
And I'm glad to hear Mermaid Avenue stuff and Tommy Keene.
  Tue. 5/26/09 1:21pm ?:

My kids love dancing around to Kettle Black! Poor Jay--you were awesome at St Ann's Harry Smith tribute! RIP
  Tue. 5/26/09 1:25pm Lizardner Dave:

Shot in the Arm could be an appropriate choice depending on how the autopsy comes out.
  Tue. 5/26/09 1:26pm Cecile:

aw, naw, really Lizardner Dave?
I had surgery recently, and they are crazy particular about all drugs before it.
  Tue. 5/26/09 1:29pm Lizardner Dave:

Oh, he had surgery or something? Last report I read was "died in his sleep at 45" which would be unusual without some kind of other circumstance. I mean it is possible he just had an aneurysm or something too.
  Tue. 5/26/09 1:29pm Cecile:

Yeah, he was having hip replacement surgery.
  Tue. 5/26/09 1:32pm Cecile:

He invented surf music on my birthday!

Clint Eastwood was also born on May 31.
  Tue. 5/26/09 1:36pm Joe B:

Happy birthday!
  Tue. 5/26/09 1:36pm Cecile:

Thanks! It's still a bit away, but I'll take it. ;D
  Tue. 5/26/09 1:37pm Carmichael:

Just got back from a meeting. Whose birthday is May 31st? Besides my twin girls, I mean.
  Tue. 5/26/09 1:39pm Cecile:

meeeee.

awesome, carm!
  Tue. 5/26/09 1:41pm Carmichael:

Well, well. Happy B-day this Sunday. I'll think of you when I'm watching the stage presentation of The Lion King.
  Tue. 5/26/09 1:42pm Cecile:

That actually should be pretty great.

awesome, last caress in German.
  Tue. 5/26/09 1:42pm Carmichael:

Dang, I missed some good music. Boss: "Since Tommy Keane's about to come on, let's call Carmichael to a meeting and talk about nothing."
  Tue. 5/26/09 1:43pm Cecile:

or French. Yes, French.
  Tue. 5/26/09 1:44pm Carmichael:

Was that the Pogues' Tuesday Morning?
  Tue. 5/26/09 1:46pm Cecile:

no, it's a Keene original, or at least co-written with Jay Bennett, I forget.
Tue. 5/26/09 1:55pm ken in denver:

Joe Belock RAWKS.
  Tue. 5/26/09 2:00pm Anagram:

Dale Dick Lacked Id
  Tue. 5/26/09 2:00pm GP:

Thanks Joe for some great sounds for a Monday...wait, I mean Tuesday.
p.s: Thanks to any veterans out there.
  Tue. 5/26/09 2:05pm Freud:

Please leave questions of the Id, Ego, and Super-ego to the experts (me).
  Tue. 5/26/09 2:07pm Parq:

Saw Los Straits last week at Bowery Ballroom. They were killer, as was second act Southern Culture OTS. The best thing about the Straits' show is Danny's rapid-fire Spanish stage patter.
  Tue. 5/26/09 2:14pm GP:

Parq, sounds like an awesome show. S.C.O.T.S. are a blast to see live.
  Tue. 5/26/09 2:30pm Mike Sin:

Kudos to Joe for playing that version of the Peter, Paul, and Mary track by Carol and Vicki, but it's really meant to be heard and SEEN: www.youtube.com/watch?v=N76JIVTPnmc
  Tue. 5/26/09 2:57pm Rubble:

Great show today Joe!
Tue. 5/26/09 3:00pm Joe (not Belock):

Man, what a great show this was
Tue. 5/26/09 7:39pm Scott Deluxe Drake:

Hey Joe!
Thanx for playing the hits!
To answer Cecile's question....yes, I'm on Pat Todd's Rankoutsider Records....The World's Best Label!
