The owner is an ex-Texan and knows how to do it right.
  12:11pm still b/p:

A great weight of leftovers waits in the lunch collection, but I forgot to bring the banana bread. I weep.
  12:12pm Jøe Steele:

It's Liz Berg time! Which is like, the best time.
  12:14pm Liz B.:

Thanks Joe, and thanks comments test bot! Beep bleep blip zorp!
  12:19pm Jøe Steele:

  12:19pm annie:

  12:24pm Parq:

GP, Hill Country is in my nabe -- in fact, I happened to pass it on my way to the west side for the Sev Sec Delay live remote a couple of weeks ago. It's, good, then, huh?
  12:28pm Jet Screamer:

Beep bleep blip zorp

that means I love you.
  12:29pm Cecile:

@GP, you're never an ex-Texan. You're just dislocated.
  12:29pm gerardo:

qué tal, liz!
hola a todos! :)
  12:30pm Andy Kauffman:

My heartbleeps
  12:30pm still b/p:

That sounded like elk arguing with loons, then it sounded like a 70s rock-out.
  12:33pm stingy d:

i'm hungry.... i gotta stay home. al i got is eggs.
  12:33pm Carmichael:

Unitl I looked at the playlist, I thought it was the Hampton Grease Band.
  12:34pm Jøe Steele:

I'm starving and have a sore throat. I'm decided how best to obtain some soup.
  12:34pm gerardo:

a week older, a year older, a year happier...

(hola, cecile!)
  12:35pm Parq:

D, you should make a note. When the time comes, "All I Got Is Eggs" would be a good title for your autobio.
  12:35pm Cecile:

no good cheese, bread or meat left, stinge?

Hola, gerardo!
  12:37pm stingy d:

i don't know parq - it's a bit too "ballsy"
  12:38pm Cecile:

Wouldn't that be a better title for the Octomom's autobio?
  12:39pm Cecile:

Carly Rabalais. Reminds me of Tiffany Chaucer.
  12:39pm BSI:

well, shoot. If you don't use "All I Got Is Eggs", I will.
....got a couple of orphan songs that could use a name like that.
  12:41pm stingy d:

yes please take these eggs away, my infant friend.
  12:42pm jeroen kuster:

hee liz
the sun seems here and you make my day. thanks
  12:44pm Parq:

'Cile, I was trying to come up with a good double-meaning gag about the phrase, but as usual, I've been outclassed.
  12:46pm stingy d:

this mississippi record label is on fire if you ask me.
  12:47pm still b/p:

Remember Edie in Pink Flamingos? She likes eggs.
  12:47pm Cecile:

nah, not you Parq.
  12:48pm Cecile:

Stinge, my friend swears by it. he says it's most of the records he buys now
  12:50pm annie:

sitting in a coffeeshop yesterday; a couple strolled in to pick up their bread order. the fellow was dressed in dark clothing, black, brown, all dark. except one thing he thought would be secret(or not) he had pink flamingo socks on.
  12:50pm stingy d:

yea they have lots of great stuff going on. sometimes it's whatever, but it's all over the map, so there's bound to interest somewhere along the way. i keep reccomending "i'm so depressed" by abner jay to people. so now i reccomend it to you.
  12:53pm stingy d:

aw man! my stupid girlfriend secretly ate a 25¢ bag of chips! i wanted some!! it's fucking OVER
  12:54pm Carmichael:

Man, you truly ARE Stingy ....
  12:55pm Sean Daily:

Not even close to first comment! Woo hoo!
  12:55pm Dr. Drew:

time for couples counseling.
  12:56pm Dr. Phil:

Bring her in here, we'll work her over.
  12:56pm stingy d:

she probably used MYYyyYY fucking quarter too, if i ever see her again, we're punching. hands down.

get bent drew, fuckin egomaniac!
  12:57pm Dr. Drew:

I resemble that remark
  12:57pm stingy d:

dr phil definitely walks into things and bumps his head when he bends over. thats my opinion of that dunce.
  12:58pm Cecile:

Play some B-52s! The real stuff!
How about "Give Me Back My Man?"
  12:59pm Dr. Phil:

I resent that resemblance!
  12:59pm Bill W:

awesome show, Liz, and I really needed it today!
  1:00pm stingy dangerfield:

no respect i tell ya
  1:02pm Ike:

GP, I agree on Hill Country. It's awesome. And I'm not usually all that big on meat-heavy cuisine. BUT, it's no secret. I tried to take my visiting parents there on Friday night and it was 90 minute wait! Ugh! So we went to a lame Persian place instead... sigh. Sunday we had much more luck at an AMAZING Lebanese place, Kamil's, in Clifton NJ.
  1:05pm Cecile:

The overlap betewen Lebanese/Turkish/Greek food is probably my favorite in the whole world
  1:08pm dc pat:

It's the Mediterranean cuisine thing which includes some Italian, Spanish, northern Africa. good stuff.
  1:10pm Parq:

I *need* a pair of pink flamingo socks.
  1:12pm annie:

parq, they were sooo wonderful. i'll keep my eye out..
  1:13pm BSI:

All I got is flamingo eggs.
  1:18pm north guinea hills:

i've been digging the near tapes label lately.....

flamingo eggs, in my milkshake...
  1:22pm dc pat:

ah, I remember the days when socks were of extreme importance--I still have some fluorescent orange and green socks.
  1:25pm north guinea hills:

ahh, you're playing angel's new ep, very different from his other AAM stuff. that kid hooked me up in monterrey, mexico....
  1:27pm Parq:

Pat, I'm doing my level best to bring those days back. I've worn out more pair of bright-colored or otherwise eye-catching socks than most jacket-and-tie men buy in a lifetime.
  1:31pm Sean Daily:

RAWK. Dot matrix-core...
  1:32pm Pearly Sweets:

I was enjoying printer jam last week during the aunties show.
  1:33pm north guinea hills:

back in my f-l-a days, i used to wear fluorescent orange totes as socks w/ camo pants and my fluorescent orange bowery electric tee. those totes disappeared in my move up here, and a cat destroyed the tee.
  1:34pm dc pat:

this reminds me of Man or Astroman and their dot matrix tune.

Parq: Last Saturday I wore my crazy bright block pattern socks and creepers to a bot mitzvah (how ever you spell).
  1:35pm Liz B.:

It took some resistance to not play that Man Or Astroman track after "Printer Jam"!
  1:35pm gerardo:

disco time?. great!
  1:36pm dc pat:

Liz! Do not resist!
  1:37pm eveley:

I love modern chiptunes :)
  1:37pm Cecile:

One word. Sylvester. That would make both me and Pearly feel mighty real.
  1:40pm Pearly Sweets:

Pump it up.
  1:41pm still b/p:

stingy's girlfriend nicked his bag of chiptunes.
  1:41pm GP:

Sorry, just back from lunch meeting and what totally sucks is that my soundcard is now acting up.. I can see the playlist but I hear nothing ( problem not with FMU, it is my PC). Will be rebooting here for the 2nd time.
  1:48pm gerardo:

oh! that droids tracks's from my teens, lol
  1:48pm Liz B.:

Cannot.... resist.... space.... disco!!!
  1:48pm Pearly Sweets:

Liz! Seriously play some Sylvester with "Do Ya Wanna Funk?" it'll mix right in so good and then me and Cecile will cheer!
  1:49pm gerardo:

resist you not... play you must...
  1:50pm Cecile:

  1:50pm gerardo:

cecile and pearly happy you make?
  1:51pm Cecile:

yes, ger-Yoda.
  1:51pm Cecile:

My sequined caftan spirit guide speaks!
  1:51pm Liz B.:

Good god, what have I done????
  1:52pm Pearly Sweets:

Ahhh... that's so nice.
  1:52pm Jøe Steele:

I should really start using umbrellas.
  1:52pm Cecile:

*does the bus stop*
  1:52pm gerardo:

funk time! - wooooo!
  1:53pm Cecile:

cause it's raining men, Joe?
  1:54pm Pearly Sweets:

Liz, you are aces. Now join our disco/spacefunk kick line!
  1:54pm Parq:

I'm not sure either, Miz Liz, but my white shirt and dark blue suit are suddenly reversing colors, and my shirt collar is creeping up over the jacket lapels. My hair! I can't make it comb down!
  1:54pm Cecile:

you better be dancing around that console. Liz
  1:54pm gerardo:

dancing should cecile and liz be right now...
  1:56pm GP:

Whooo Hooo..sound again!

IT did something to my PC while I was away..hmmm
  1:56pm Pearly Sweets:

Cecile, have you ever heard Prince Charles and the City Beat Band?
  1:56pm Cecile:

Cybotron, Detroit in the house!
  1:57pm Cecile:

Pearly, I SAW THEM. Twice.
  1:58pm Cecile:

Pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters. Dollar bills! Hundred dollar bills!
  1:58pm Pearly Sweets:

You Lucky Skunk! I am mega jealous!
  1:59pm annie:

liz, it was fun! i just sailed through all this work! and even had a chance to wiggle a dance in, too.
  2:00pm Ike:

Wow, the board ganged up on Liz! Kinda not cool.
  2:00pm Cecile:

they were great. Wonderful stuff.
He was very intense and scary onstage, but my friends talked to him, and he was a sweetheart.
Both times there were under 30 people at the show in Detroit. This was when I lived in Ann Arbor.

Both times, a KILLER version of One Nation Under a Groove, too.
  2:01pm Cecile:

She doesn't sound too upset.
Now, I will not bug her cause she played Sylvester.
The bear can return to its lair.
  2:03pm Pearly Sweets:

About eight years back or so I started doing some deep searching for different 80s funk/disco/and electro and they were by far the finest of my finds.
  2:04pm Pearly Sweets:

Did they exhume Dave Blood?
  2:04pm gerardo:

cecile's right... it was a Force possession case
  2:04pm Jøe Steele:

To the tubes I go!
  2:07pm stingy d:

WHAT! fuck that man, i'm doing a show at santos.
  2:09pm Cecile:

Yes, Cash Money should be way more well known than it is.
  2:14pm Liz B.:

What's your band called, Stingy?
  2:14pm Jøe Steele:

I just saw the Chris Cornell video.

I'm sad now.
  2:14pm stingy d:

aight tho
  2:15pm Bell Hamm:

chris cornell is a yo yo
  2:17pm dc pat:

HA! I thiought you said Chris Parnell. guess I'm a little off...
  2:18pm stingy d:

we just dj and host/stand up comedy (designed to offend) but we i make various musics with some folks too.
  2:18pm bell hamm:

is it true chris cornell and taylor swift will be getting married?
  2:21pm GP:

DC PAT..that is what I heard as well...the SNL guy right?
  2:23pm bell hamm:

liz'z music always relieves my migrains...thanks liz
  2:24pm Pearly Sweets:

Stingy, will you be doing any Dave Blood humor at Santos?
  2:24pm dc pat:

GP: Yeah, I was thinking "yeah that was a good idea to check out his stuff....but it's not THAT crazy..."
  2:25pm stingy d:

by the way, i meant i have decided that i will do a show at santos. me and andrew wk are best friends. so i can make this decision.
  2:27pm detroitdave:

Hello Liz, looks like I tuned in at the right time!
  2:27pm Jøe Steele:

I love this talkover track
  2:28pm dc pat:

speakin of youtube, I'm still flying on Kristen Lepore's animations thanks to B. Walker. That story of North America video is killin me--music and animation...
  2:28pm GP:

DC..I know he can write some pretty good rhymes. He did that "Lazy Sunday" video with Andy Samberg...so he might be cool to see someday...Chris Cornell..not so much.
  2:29pm Parq:

It seems that Miz Liz is trying to maximize the culture shock when we switch to quiet music with Irene in a half hour. Joe, re 2:04 post - "to" or "down"?
  2:29pm GP:

Stingy as long as you and your crew aren't giving Costes a run for for his money..if you know what I mean!
  2:31pm stingy d:

no i think it's more like messing up one joke for a long time. and accidentally offending everyone in the process.
  2:31pm Jøe Steele:

Went "to" the tubes (the YouTubes) saw Chris Cornell, got sad.
  2:33pm bell hamm:

whats so wrong with personell pizzas? they are very convienant if you live alone and dont like to cook much
  2:35pm detroitdave:

YAY TABC! Good one Liz!
  2:38pm GP:

LOL Stingy...that is like that "Dirtiest Joke in the World" contest ..which incidentally, Sarah Silverman won.
  2:42pm detroitdave:

nuthin blows the gray away like good sound!
  2:42pm bell hamm:

great bl song
  2:43pm stingy d:

yea it's like the other day my girl was in heat, and she said all women want chocolate when they're in heat... so i figured my dog would really enjoy these left over raisinets i had in my pants pocket because she's having her period or something. now i don't know what's wrong.

no that's not it.... wait a second.
  2:45pm detroitdave:

  2:47pm Jøe Steele:

  2:48pm bell:

  2:48pm detroitdave:

Ah.......again there is love in the airwaves!
  2:48pm rickles d:

yea hello to the gentleman from detroit. you're an urban tumbleweed. can you define "sticking it out" for us.
  2:50pm Liz B.:

Yeah, the Oh Sees killed on Saturday! The Bell House crowd was definitely getting rowdy during their set.
  2:54pm detroitdave:

Thats light shit stingy. I thought these were supposed to be hardass. Beautiful set Liz! Like the music too!
  2:55pm Emily:

this is awseom!
  2:57pm Pearly Sweets:

Cecile, remember that time earlier when Liz played Sylvester and made this day wonderful?
  3:00pm stingy d:

i'm not the comedian... i'm the dj. the black guy is the comedian and he gets to see things i don't get to.
