  3:13pm SeanG:

Anybody in Boston wanna get a band together?
  3:15pm BearJaw:

What's the purpose of the overly long intro? I waited like 9 minutes for your show to begin one day after work.
  3:16pm JT:

whoa did lux die?
  3:17pm Joe B:

Give her a break, she is setting up a live band AND doing her show. Jeeeeez.
  3:17pm Sean Daily:

Tenth comment! Woo hoo!
  3:17pm dc pat:

  3:18pm dc pat:

  3:19pm JOHN SEX BOMB:

  3:21pm Cecile:

  3:21pm Stiv Jr.:

Cheetah Chrome is in the building!
  3:24pm Cecile:

  3:24pm jokey:

  3:27pm detroitdave:

goo goo muck baby!
  3:27pm Cecile:

I wish I had some beer and some go go boots for this music.
  3:28pm fishmonkeystew:

Thanks for the large dose of the Cramps, Diane. One of the best shows I ever saw. I only wish that I could have gotten my wife out to see them before Lux died.
  3:28pm Mozart:

eh, the cramps sucked
  3:30pm Cecile:

Your just jelz cause you didn't write Drug Train.
  3:31pm Mozart:

yeah, this song is...........really great
  3:31pm Doug from DC:

This gets better and better. Are you gonna play Human Fly?
  3:32pm Cecile:

whoo! whoo!
  3:32pm ?:

Hopefully Kenny G will NOT doa tribute this time.
  3:33pm dc pat:

  3:33pm BRUCE BOMB:

have some chicken soup, bomber!
  3:33pm fishmonkeystew:

Have you ever heard the original of this? It's on the Born Bad compilation. Biiiiiizzzarrrre! I love it.

  3:34pm ~L:

She said, such a classic!
  3:37pm BRUCE BOMB:

...and then make a necklace from the bones!
  3:40pm Doug in DC:

Just cranked it up! Thanks!
  3:41pm Parq:

Irwin speculated yesterday on which FMU staffers would do extravagant Cramps tributes. You guys realize, of course, that the first few of you are going to play all the good tracks, leaving nothing for the weekend crew but repeats.
  3:43pm Parq:

My meeting with a co-worker is over. Now I can (finally!) crank it up.
  3:44pm Steve in Chicago:

What a high price to pay for a Cramps Set .
Thanks Lux for bringing enjoyment to so many.
  3:45pm Cecile:

Parq, you say "repeats" like it's a bad thing.

I also hope Irwin keeps his promise and doesn't do a tribute to a band he doesn't like ever again.
  3:51pm Patrick:

"Dont eat Stuff on the Sidewalk" was part of an awesome punk mixtape given to by this surfer life guard in Beach Haven, NJ, and definitely changed my life. It goes well with "Sex and Violence" by the Exploited and "Beverly Hills" by the Circle Jerks and "10:15" by the Cure, also "Fire in the Rain" by Agent Orange. All have nice reverb.
  3:52pm Negator:

Thanks, Diane! I'm starting to feel better. Flat Duo Jets sound good with The Cramps, too.
  3:56pm GP:

I'm literally hearing all of this for the first time. I can't believe that somehow I missed out on this AWESOMENESS. The Cramps...who knew...apparently everyone else BUT me! Got a lot of record buying to do now.
  3:57pm fishmonkeystew:

When I saw them play, they played Surfin' Bird, which ended up with Lux on top of the speaker stack in his leopard spedo's drinking some mystery foreign liquid out of the high heeled shoes he had been wearing, then moaning into the mic that he had stuffed in his mouth. Classic.
  3:58pm fishmonkeystew:

speedos. d'oh.
  3:59pm Joe In Korea:

Outstanding tribute to a one of a kind band and singer! There is no one who can take his place! I am hearing this at 6 AM my time, its going to be weird trying to concentrate at work today! Thanks!
  3:59pm Sean Daily:

From what I'm hearing, the Cramps were a lot more fun as a live act.
  3:59pm Cecile:

GP, you need Songs the Lord Taught Us like right now.
  4:00pm BRUCE BOMB:

GP- check out the LIVE AT NAPA STATE MENTAL HOSPITAL videos on YouTube, it's really PERFECT in every way.
  4:01pm Cecile:

Sean....no! Played at the right volume, Songs the Lord Taught us is one of the greatest albums ever. I like their earlier stuff, but they never put out a truly bad record.
  4:02pm GP:

10-4 Cecile...I am so out of it sometimes...however i can see where a lot of bands that I do like got their sound from. Thanks also to Bruce..I'll check it out at home, IT has us on the video lockdown at the office.
  4:03pm detroitdave:

  4:05pm Cecile:

  4:06pm Cecile:

I mean Final Solution.

  4:20pm Cyn:

  4:36pm Pete:

This show has been spectacular Diane! It has made a very dull afternoon at work sooo much better. Thanks!
  4:39pm Cecile:

  4:39pm Doctor B.:

I'll second that! (And I *don't* believe Cheetah played "I Need Lunch"!)
  4:41pm ?:

then what was that fourth song they played?
  4:42pm Mozart:

ah, the original...thanks
  4:59pm Bad Ronald:

Hey, it's Joltin' Joe Belock!
  5:18pm chelz:

was listening earlier & thought diane was just on a cramps kick, got home now and heard the news! rip lux.
  5:24pm Cecile:

Yeah, Sonic Reducer! And I got it right this time!

D Goddess of the HairWaves:
Oh I just stepped in and caught the Buzzcocks,. Saw your playlist and again I will have to dld the show. Your playlist is fantastic. I can't wait to enjoy it tomorrow whilst I work with all the other SQUARES and Mindless Radio and TV crowd. I do anticipate receiving the look of many a startled DEER eyes in the headlights.

Always my pleasure.
  10:46am Robbie:

I have not heard your show prior to this one, but I sure did like this show. Thank you Diane.
  3:48pm PrimitiveOne:

Thanks, Diane. Nice tribute to the best front man for the best band that ever existed.
