A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Loretta Lynn carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

wow. i never realised jamie oliver had made it over to america. is he famous?
Thu. 1/8/09 10:59am
trouble:
my biggest tip is don't stir it constantly. add a ladle of broth and then stir and wait two minutes ( keeping an eye on the rice so it doesn't dry out ) before stirring it again. this method is so easy. i set a timer for two minutes.
Thu. 1/8/09 11:02am
GP:
Trouble, please post the recipe....this Barbara M stuff is wonderful.

For all the cooks out there, I got an awesome cookbook/travelouge for Christmas that I can't recommend highly enough. "Beyond the Great Wall". Everything I've made has been good and not too difficult or involved. Plus, the travel writing and photos are wonderful as well.

Being a veggie is easy--just eat. Are you worried about protien?
Thu. 1/8/09 11:25am
dc pat:
I basically cook like a meat eater but just take the meat out. Substitute veggie stock a lot, eat a lot of beans and brown rice. But cheese will give you all the protein you need.
