  9:07am
Bruce:

Jason:

Bad Ronald:

  9:22am
annie:

  9:23am
Bruce:

Who's playing lead bubbles? Yea baby!!!!!!!
  9:28am
Parq:

Annie, did you read about the hunting accident out your way? In Swan Lake?
  9:30am
annie:

tip for york peppermint pattie usage: drop one at the bottom of your coffee cup.

no parq, i'll check it out. i was reading something suggesting to just wait til spring and dig am all out then..
  9:31am
paulthepostman:

Bruce - the kudos is all yours sir. What a gent!
  9:33am
annie:

parq, it's quite a shame. very sad, advisable to stay in during this time if you live in the woods or near hunting regions.
  9:34am
dc pat:

  10:09am
Bad Ronald:

  10:10am
annie:

cool.. i await your post!
  10:16am
Bad Ronald:

should be there soon...

The Dawgisht track was pretty cool!
  10:19am
Parq:

You guys have played a few tracks from "Air Cartoons" lately -- sounds pretty cool.
  10:20am
GP:

Hey Bard R...is that the name of your band? (your domain name)
  10:21am
GP:

Sorry ...meant to say BAD R...any association with Bill Shakespear eis coincidental.
  10:22am
Bad Ronald:

NP GP - Bad Ronald is the name of our band (NYC Punk not the hip hop group) The domain is one of our tunes...
  10:24am
annie:

i am never disappointed by the music selection on FMU......... this stuff is great. got yours BR
  10:24am
GP:

Cool stuff...I will have to check out some of your stuff. Speaking of band names, I'm still cracking up about that band I heard on Liz's show yesterday: "Sascrotch"..he he he
  10:28am
Bad Ronald:

Cool Annie - TX

Yeah GP, that name had me giggling too. Let me know if you dig or stuff, I can send some crap your way!
  10:28am
annie:

hey, that's sasqrotch witha q!!
  10:30am
GP:

Thats even better Annie!

And thanks Bad Ronald for that cool offer.
  10:32am
GP:

Jason this has been a great set.
  10:35am
trouble:

i loved that chinaboise cut jason. sounds great this morning!
  10:36am
annie:

of any addiction to have, music is the safest and the sweetest there is.
  10:37am
GP:

Did I just use the word "cool" in three consecutive posts?.....dang it, now four....need a new hipster thesaurus.
  10:37am
Jason:

Thanks trouble and GP! Interesting to learn about Bad Ronald the band, I thought there could only be one
  10:38am
annie:

GP, in my opinion, "rad" has never gone out of style.
  10:39am
stingy d:

gp try using "fast"

eleanor is a fast bad ronald song.
  10:40am
stingy d:

also my favorite new slang term is "smebbin"...
  10:41am
annie:

ooh, i'm gonna try to use that today.. in context no less.
  10:41am
Parq:

Actually, I am consistently amazed at the staying power of "cool". Do you realize its in its third generation? True, Madison Avenue has co-opted "cool stuff" by making it mean "junk to be consumed", but the true meaning of "cool" is still hanging in there
  10:43am
GP:

LOL...Stingy D..saw a funny E-40 song titled "Smebbin" when I searched for it on the Goog...

10-4 on that Parq...it just fits.
  10:43am
stingy d:

i'm gonna agree with parq... cool is a timeless classic. thankfully hot has faded. you could re-enact "phat" always gets a laugh when i say phat as my one word sentence in place of cool.
  10:44am
Cecile:

I like groovy, boss or choice myself.
  10:45am
stingy d:

boss is most certainly a boss term!
  10:45am
annie:

my dad got in trouble at the school he taught at for the kids calling him "boss" this was in '63..
  10:46am
Bad Ronald:

Or as Gomez would say - "Capital"
wottabout bitchin' or is that too square?

Yeah smebbin is too funny!
  10:47am
Raf:

Really enjoying this After Dinner track.
  10:48am
stingy d:

bitchin is like hella to me... take that how you may
  10:50am
annie:

whenever i used the word hella, i had to 'splain it almost all the time.
  10:51am
stingy d:

i dig hecka
  10:52am
Parq:

Paris Hilton killed "hot", or at least turned it into a punchline. Actually, it usually had a sexual connotation, which put all sorts of images in my mind the first time I saw an ad for "hot yoga". Thankfully (or not, depending on your view of these things), I was mistaken.
  10:52am
Daddy O:

Have your lids flipped you cool cats...check out Slim Gaillards jazz hipsters dictionary form the 30's...K R A Z Y
http://www.pocreations.com/vout.html
  10:53am
Cecile:

laguna o-reenie, laguna o-roonie!
  10:53am
annie:

oh, yeah... and check out the rappin lord buckley.. now HE was rad.
  10:54am
Bad Ronald:

No doubt Annie, I was just about to mention him! Dig?
  10:55am
annie:

word up ronald. years ago a very hip dj here at this amazing station was a lord buckley fan.. i was able to get it on tape!!!
  10:58am
stingy d:

chris brown... that kid is dating rhianna!
  10:58am
fishmonkeystew:

A band called Solar Anus.......Talk about ring of fire....
  10:58am
annie:

cecile, hope you week mis going better after the weekend.
  10:59am
GP:

Annie,
I thought I was the only nerd who used to wait around to record radio that I liked onto tape. I found some of my old tapes the other day, and yes, I can't believe I actually recorded "Ice Ice Baby"...*hangs head in shame*
  11:00am
Bad Ronald:

A neighbor of mine turned me on to him (Buckley). He told me about a bit he did here in NY or NJ where he had to open or follow Frank Sinatra and in an effort to upstage The Chairman of the Board he threatened to saw his foot off on stage!
  11:01am
Cecile:

yes, Jason, and that live session was awesome! I'm all about the Azeem.

I'm a little better, Annie. past the point of being really sick, and at the point fretting about every little twinge being something.
  11:01am
annie:

OMG i taped anything and everything!!!
ronald i never heard about that! my fave of his si the rap about james dean...
  11:02am
annie:

and i finished each of my radio shows aith his thing on flowers ..
  11:04am
stingy d:

that brian wilson thing sounds like its full of potential.
  11:06am
Bad Ronald:

Yeah Michael Shelley's had a couple of great interviews these past weeks!

Annie - Where did you broadcast from? Are there any archives available on line?
  11:07am
Cecile:

how hard it is to find this Icky Boyfriends thing? This is genius
  11:07am
Doug from DC:

Hey BR, is this you? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0LWwXl2lPI&feature=related
  11:08am
dc pat:

I use to turn on the tape before I left for school just to see what I would get off the radio. I found out about "My Generation" by the Who that way.
  11:09am
Bad Ronald:

You got me Doug. I'm the idiot on the drums!
  11:10am
Jason:

Oh crap I totally confused this band Ripped Krampus II with Liz's live guest next week, Red Dawn II -- sorry for the misinfo
  11:10am
stingy d:

ronald! wow - excellent song title!!!
  11:11am
Cecile:

I used to tape Monty Pythons and memorize them.
Radio, I should have taped, but I didn't have a tape recorder of my own until after I left a place with good radio. I never did airchecks when I did radio, I probably should have.
  11:11am
Bad Ronald:

TX Stingy.
  11:11am
annie:

ronald it was out of the college radio in oneonta ; wow i forgot the call letters... let me think.. wow,,, i forgot it! anyway they did not have the technology to put into archive.. (i had to look this up, too) WRHO.. very primitive and badly run; poor funding and lack of interest withing the college community. alot of townies did shows..
  11:11am
GP:

Jason, just play some Sasqrotch and all will be forgiven ; )
  11:14am
fishmonkeystew:

I used to tape Dr. Demento shows when I was a kid.

My mother-in-law has reel-to-reels of many '60s radio shows where they would play the entire album. She lived in Phillidelphia as a kid. We've just gotta figure out how to transfer them. Unfortunately some have water damage....Any suggestions?
  11:14am
Doug from DC:

Boss jamz, BR!
  11:15am
annie:

i know there are people who transfer from tape... all the rage ya dig? lots of boomers want to save their shite.
  11:16am
GP:

A friend of mine who was also into taping now works as a station manager for NPR which Is pretty neat. He never got over the radio bug, and that is a good thing.

Dr. Demento...YES!

Bad Ronald..I'll have to check out the band video on my home machine after hours.
  11:16am
stingy d:

bad ronald the rap group is helping lead the way to the downfall of society
  11:16am
Bad Ronald:

TX Doug!

FMS - Do you still have the tape machine and if so what outputs does it have (rca, 1/4")?
  11:17am
stingy d:

also hillary clinton is secretary of state...
  11:17am
PG:

Krampus II are righteous. Same with Puffy Areolas.
  11:18am
Bad Ronald:

Yeah we were kinda pissed when they came out!

Is it fact about HC? I though Bill was presenting some problems...
  11:18am
annie:

GP- i been playing radio since i was 4, or so it seems. but i've been turned on to it since i could turn the dials.
  11:18am
GP:

Jason, thanks for the Meth Teeth...I mean not literally...you know...the band I mean.
  11:19am
hillary:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/nov/17/hillary-clinton-secretary-of-state
  11:20am
Bad Ronald:

This is a killer set Jason. Thanks!
  11:21am
stingy d:

i can't bring myself to like anything called meth teeth... those fucking dirtbombs need to go to hell faster... but birdnames is a-alrigth in my book.
  11:21am
fishmonkeystew:

The tape macine (a Teac I believe) bit it in a basement flood. All we have is the tapes. But a reel to reel w/1/4" jacks to a receiver then to a pc or other interface would work wouldn't it? Any one know a way to restore water damaged tapes?
  11:22am
fishmonkeystew:

New Mexico is one of my favorite places....The song's not bad either.
  11:25am
Bad Ronald:

FMS - yes if you run the signal to a pc using adaptors you can record it using Audacity (it's free). Can't help with the water damage...
  11:27am
grubbus:

I don't know why but I like this song-cough, cough.
  11:28am
PKNY:

That last song sure sounded like "Ballad of the Hip Death Goddess" by the Ultimate Spinach
  11:28am
annie:

annie:

  11:38am
GP:

Fish Monkey, regarding the restoration of the reel-to-reels, I found this referring to VCR tape, but the process would be the same.

http://www.ehow.com/how_4469583_fix-vhs-tapes-damaged-water.html
