  8:19pm Veles:

Hey this is pretty good music so far. I never thought I'd hear a Katamari song on the radio.
  8:29pm trent:

  8:38pm Ethan:

This is exciting! Chiptunes on the radio!
  8:38pm trent:

YESSSSSSSSSS what's up yes yes blip blip
  8:40pm wim:

This is truly genius.
You guys rock!
And Mr Shifter you are an 8bit hero
  8:43pm Ethan:

Can we get track names? Natty, what are you playing?
  8:46pm wim:

man this is realy sweet
  8:47pm trent:

i might be able to get some track names later but now it's a little hectic up in this piece!!! sorry!!
  8:48pm vcparis:

  8:48pm veles:

Oh wow this set is awesome. I just got back to my radiotron.

What happened there with the pause?
  8:49pm trent:

his 1/8" cable fell out for a sec ;)
  8:49pm esch oder anarchie!:

Heard Satie in the background of last track -- confirm?
  8:50pm vcparis:

i'm actually doing visuals on my gp2x while i listen!
  8:51pm veles:

how come actual gameboy games don't have music this rocking?
  8:52pm Ethan:

Hi Paris!

FYI Trent, this song is called "Rough Weather".
  8:53pm trent:

  8:53pm 2playerproductions:

Henry, so glad to hear what your music sounds like (we're all out of town this weekend)...knock em dead, dudes.
  8:56pm wim:

Bit Shifter you are rockin !

  8:58pm vcparis:

  9:06pm Dauragon:

  9:06pm Esopus:

Hello 8bc :)
  9:07pm disassembler:

This is awesome!!! Destroy the airwaves guys!!
  9:08pm roman:

This is the new folk music. Love it.
  9:09pm Dauragon:

  9:09pm veles:

timed challenges are awesome in any medium!

48 hour video game competitions should team up with 48 hour chiptune challenges and make interesting games with really good music at the same time.
  9:09pm Akira:

Greetings from cozy Finland :)
  9:09pm vcparis:

i thought the last set was bit shifter - sorry auto da fe, i meant you rock! wait... ALL of you rock! play all night!
  9:10pm disassembler:

Don't forget Nanovoice or Trippy-H (Game Boy Camera)! :D
  9:10pm Akira:

wtf! i missed the live sets@!@!!!!@! i thought this started 1 hour ago... friocking time zones!
  9:11pm Esopus:

I love Nanoloop, but losing all my NL 1.2 data is a bit scare for me. I am on the LSDJ side of the DMG constituancy.
  9:12pm veles:

Oh man I had a lot of fun with Gameboy Camera but I never got good with the music part of it. I did hell of awesome animations though.
  9:14pm Esopus:

The most conspicuous debate is whether you are on the game culture side, or you just like to make music. I don't feel myself part of the game cuture at all.
  9:16pm disassembler:

Yes! Play a Nanoloop track!!! DO IT!
  9:16pm Ethan:

Esopus, you're too high-concept.. there is no "debate" in the chiptune scene.
  9:16pm Akira:

  9:17pm illmasta:

What about Carillon editor?
  9:17pm Akira:

  9:18pm Don:

Yes, let's talk about the Blip Festival!
  9:18pm disassembler:

Nanovoice and Trippy-H! They may be limited compared to LSDJ and Nanoloop, but they still have their uses.
  9:18pm Esopus:

That's why I get a life and don't spend time on the forums.
  9:18pm knowles:

is there any way to download a copy of that live set? CHIP TUNES 4 LYFE.
  9:18pm Akira:

s c o o b y c o r e
  9:19pm Don:

Yeah, explain the demoscene briefly, haha!
  9:19pm Veles:

Oh man the demoscene is spectacular. Does anyone remember the name of that 98kb next gen FPS game?
  9:20pm disassembler:

@knowles: Check 8bitcollective.com or 8bc.org for some of their tracks!
  9:21pm knowles:

BTW- here's a chiptunes cover of Squarepusher Theme, rules face.
  9:22pm vcparis:

  9:22pm Akira:

  9:23pm Dauragon:

  9:24pm illmasta:

Where can I find Hally tunes? His live performance is crazy!
  9:24pm veles:

Powerstone 2 is awesome. I learned how to play coop on a single controller.
  9:24pm Esopus:

Blip Festival = Great Chip Music Vinyl and various paraphenalia

I seriously love my Bodenstandig 2000 album.

  9:25pm Akira:

  9:25pm disassembler:

  9:25pm JEAN:

Bit Shifter, Glomag, Auto da Fé FTW!!!!
  9:25pm knowles:

chiptunes covers of "still alive" the portal song.
  9:26pm veles:

Oh guys play knytt stories.

The music on official levels is really REALLY excellent on it.
  9:27pm disassembler:

Glomag covered Still Alive! It's awesome! :D He should play it if he has it on his cart! ;]
  9:29pm JEAN:

Glomag is so wise...
  9:29pm Ethan:

Also! Because square waves sound awesome.
  9:29pm Esopus:

I have never ever really heard a bad Electroplankton track. But there's so much room for bad Game Boy/ C64/ Atari/ Amiga tracks. There's more bad chip music than there ever has been. And really that's not a bad thing either, more people making chip music means that the scene is developing more creativity.
  9:30pm Ethan:

8bc has a ton of new albums released on their forums all the time! It's amazing.

8bitpeoples.com has a ton of great albums. Other than that, find an artist that you like and get everything you can from them.
  9:34pm knowles:

dear nerds,
please tell us your myspace URLs for great friend justice.
  9:34pm Esopus:

Real Game Boy bricks!

  9:34pm vcparis:

goferboy sounds so different when he's sober.

  9:35pm Don:

  9:36pm disassembler:

  9:36pm Esopus:

  9:38pm Dauragon:

Shameless Self Promotion!
  9:38pm cowboy mark:

Ahoy brothers!
  9:39pm vcparis:

old consoles had sound CHIPS which were mini synthesizers - not playing back samples. totally different!
  9:43pm Veles:

Are any of you familiar with or seen any chiptunes done for old DOS-era soundblaster soundchips?

I mean have you guys heard the old LucasArts Adventure Games? They had excellent music.
  9:44pm disassembler:

BIT SHIFTER SHOULD SING!!! Josh has an awesome voice!
  9:45pm knowles:

  9:49pm wim:

  9:50pm disassembler:

I don't like their music period! They have whiny voices!
  9:50pm vcparis:

you guys are being nice - the stole from lo-bat and covox and so they suck :-)
  9:52pm Esopus:

@Disassembler: I don't like that antagonistic attitude from the band in question.

I love Toronto! They do not represent their city.
  9:52pm disassembler:

Aliceffekt is a good Canadian! :D I played with him at Pulsewave!
