Sad to see your name missing from the summer schedule. Hope you come back in the Fall.
  8:08pm

I have hives on my ears from undercover angel exposure. Bubble Puppy is my calamine lotion.
  8:11pm
Scott:

Thanks a lot C! fwiw, I took myself off the schedule - it's been almost 11 years without more than 2 weeks off. I need to recharge and refresh, basically. C+, the next mic break's yours if you want it. You'll have to call in tho -- 201-209-9368. If you want

I think I'm up for the challenge.

  8:31pm
C+:

Interesting challenge, Scott, but I'll pass on the int'l phone call. I was just thinking about "Undercover Angel" this morning, along with a number of other AM Gold Irritainment tunes I haven't heard in forever. I'll forego mentioning the others, for fear you may play them.

On another noteI will miss you over the summer. I've been listening since 2001.
  8:36pm
Scott:

Cool C+, I'll give it a go. Thanks for the kindness, and apologies for more 1977 AT-40 to come.
  8:37pm
jeff:

sounds good so far, brah. gonna miss you this summer but you deserve the break... be good.
  8:40pm
C+:

If you must, Scott, curdle my earwax with Climax Blues Band. It's always a great show, even when the music is cringeworthy.

toni daytona:

heeey scott since this is your last show , why not keep in touch? i still have your e-mail and i hope you still have mine, ohh scott PLEASE DONT play abba ewwwwww
  8:45pm
C+:

Couldn't Get It Right was a UK hit in '76, probably peaked in the US in '77.
  8:52pm
Parq:

Freiwillinger, my Monday nights will be that much more, well, more Monday night without you, but I totally understand your need to spend Monday nights sitting on the front porch (okay, the front concrete slab) with your duo of darlings.
  8:53pm
C+:

Feel free to play ABBA, Scott. We can take it. Their Spanish versions are wicked. Nothing like listening to Nordic tongues lashing their way through Romance languages.
  9:22pm
gk:

play all your records at the same time!, but don't work too hard

enjoy like the rest of us
  9:29pm
Scott:

Thanks gk - I might! (and I will)

Is there a special chakra you need to spin records? If so protect that one...

Let me guess, in this song Novos Baianos is singing about cooking and cleaning for a hardworking husband.
  9:46pm
Scott:

C, you gotta see Baby Consuelo in action -- on the FMU blahg http://blog.wfmu.org/freeform/2007/12/novos-baianos.html

the only thing I'm sorry about regarding the Floaters is that you played them before I did!
  9:55pm
C:

Thanks, Scott! Baby Consuelo's got a great attitude.

James Brophy:

Holy Crap, good soil turning soundtrack, was mulching out in the 90.1 region, and then switched the inside speakers on, flossed, and was not aggravated at all by this music. Quite the opposite.

For the benefit of the comment-reading audience I will inform you that I just strode into the air studio holding up my own copy of Piper's first album, which has been malingering in my record bag for a couple of months now.
I'll have to replace it next week with their second album...
  10:06pm
Scott:

That's no lie Evan's telling. I'm currently taking great pleasure in hitting this particular UFO track before him - and I hope I've got him pegged right here, and I think I have. Wait'll you hear this FLo & Eddie!!
  10:08pm

Hey Scott,
Sorry to hear you're taking off for a bit. I've enjoyed your show since you took over this time slot from Mike Lupica. For you last show I'll have to ceremoniously place my Terry Bozzio wig back in its shoe box and return it to its storage place, under the sofa with the High Times magazines and old remote controls. Thanks!

it's not just free beer, it's good beer!
  10:20pm

You got it Raga, that's culture minister Gil himself drinking good free beer - search "gilberto gil" and "beer" on youtube - you'll find it.

Re the Climax Blues Band, yes C+ it was released in 1976 in the UK but in the U.S. it did not debut on the Billboard chart until Feb. 19, 1977. It lasted an impressive 22 weeks on the chart, peaking at No. 3. Now, back to my non-life.
  10:39am
Lupica:

I think it's about time someone does that Bubble Puppy song for Hoof n' Mouth. Not that I'm volunteering or anything.
