No one has been on this page for over a decade. And yet the feelings these people felt were real and palpable, they are either deceased or have otherwise no doubt completely forgotten these feelings and then, later, these comments as Web artefacts. Someone remembered, as they posted on a YouTube video of one of these songs that hearing it on this date and shoe had a profound effect on them. My tribute to a false memory continues here, but will anyone ever read this?

@Disc_4 - twelve years later and I'm not deceased nor have I forgotten the impact Ding had on me when I first heard it on this very show. Via Ken's show on Friday and then the archive (one of the best inventions of modern times), I came back to it and Maria this morning and am very grateful to be reminded of ALL her Day for Nights; the musical choices, the breaking-glass/lapping wave sound effects, the throat-clearing.
In spite of our increasingly networked lives and the atomisation that goes with it, very real impacts and bonds forged by music are still possible. Hallelujah.
And if it's true (and why wouldn't it be?) that Maria herself gets notified every time someone like you, someone like me, leaves a comment here then maybe that answers your final question.
And if you ARE reading this Maria: Hi! It may be decades later but you still sound ffffresh ;)
