thanks for a great start to the morn, hatch. this is the first tuesday i've been in the office to listen to you in over a month, it's been a while.
  9:33am
Cecile:

Tell me about it, Hatch. It seems like the nutjob wing of my family has only come to grips with Obama not being Muslim, and now this.

Criminy, even my super-conservative boss thought that US foreign policy led to 9/11.

good documentary bout politcs of fear on the bbc, u can probably download it off somewhere, it made the point that to have a political system based on fear you have to create a biblical like evil, it used to be communists now its bin laden, if you reveal the details of this evil and connect to historical events its biblicalness disappears and politicians lose their power
  9:44am
Hatch:

No club hopping for me. Just stayed home and made a brisket.
  9:48am

  9:53am
Hatch:

No spam. Corned beef, you just throw in a pot of water with some carrots and onions and herbs and simmer for a few hours. Very tasty.
  10:01am
Cecile:

That sounds awesome. I saw a recipe where you can corn your own brisket. It takes ten days, but 99% of the time it's in the fridge. I'm so doing that next year.
  10:02am
Bad Ronald:

With beer of course!
  10:03am
Hatch:

Of course.
  10:08am
Bad Ronald:

Lots and lots of BEER!
  10:09am

  10:16am
Prawntot:

What an excellent show. I don't think I've ever tuned into WFMU at this time before so have never caught your show but will make a point of doing so every week from now on!

Spacemen 3, Kraftwerk, Toumast, Moondog, Yamataka Eye... are you sure you're not secretly reading my thoughts?

Great stuff.

Incidentally, that Politics Of Fear doc is available at archive.org to stream / download free of charge (at least it was a few months ago).
  10:18am

epic soundtracks. nice. i used to listen to this album on repeat when it came out. i haven't heard it in a few years - pulled it out a few times when he passed - you should follow it up with nikki sudden. any song would be fine, they all sound pretty much the same.

  11:20am
jonathan:

you're out-doing your ownself today!
  11:27am
Bad Ronald:

Let a smile be your umbrella.
  11:35am
Hatch:

How should I get it off my face first? With a pair of scissors?
  11:38am
Bad Ronald:

I'll wipe that smile off your face...

J/K
  11:38am
Cecile:

No, just pull your lower lip over your head. like they do in the Tom and Jerry cartoons. ;)
  11:41am
Hatch:

Ok. That sounds significantly less painful than using scissors.
  11:56am
Bad Ronald:

Not if my dad were to do the "wiping"!
