Listener comments!

  6:24am Ike:

Hey, a live accu-playlist for a 6-9 a.m. web-only show! That's new.
  6:33am Lupica:

Hey Ike, a couple of regular 6-9 DJs (Trent, Hot Rod) do live accuplaylists, and others (Lou Z., myself) try to whenever we fill in for this slot. Gotta keep the people informed!
  6:38am Ike:

What I meant was that THIS playlist is especially good b/c it is updated as it goes, as with a traditional accu-playlist. Trent and Hot Rod (whose show is one of my faves) generally post the whole playlist all at once. Which is understandable given the circumstances.
  6:44am Lupica:

Ahh, I see. Then in that case, Lou Z. and I must officially declare war upon Trent and Hot Rod.
  6:53am Ike:

That sounds good. Be sure to film the opening salvo for our entertainment. Watch out, Trent might try to stick his fingers down your throat like during his marathon show with Bob W. (which was hiLARious).
  7:32am mark:

thanks for getting me through the morning shift, that stuff about frank budgen was interesting, wfmu and bbc worldservice are the only things that keep me going
  7:37am Lupica:

Thanks, Mark. May I suggest "copious amounts of coffee" to complete the trifecta?
  7:44am mark:

erm not really a coffee man, thought friends was rubbish and managed to never get addicted, its abit of a waste of money and soil, theres a good short documentary bout coffee on the bbc worldservice site
  7:55am Coffee Addict:

As our fathers taught us: "Always grow your own, son. Always grow your own".
  8:28am mark:

umbongo is juicy
  8:40am Listener Dave:

Husker Du! Is that because Mould is playing Irving Plaza tonight?
  8:40am Luciano fm Genova, Italy:

Hi Mike,
cheers from a WFMU and (Italian) coffee addict! Well, Husker Du drank caffeine a lot, for this Byrds to B52 mutation!
  8:45am Lupica:

Had no idea Bob was in town this week (actually, I believe he lives here now, so I guess he's always "in town", as it were) but I heard him perform on NPR a few weeks ago and thought it was sadly pedestrian. Best solo show of his I ever saw was in an abandoned church on the Lower East Side sometime many years ago. Regardless, cheers to Listener Dave and Luciano for bring back the memory!
  8:49am jonathan:

mmmm...lungfish in the morn.
  1:37pm Zach in Philly:

Hurrahahaha for Flat Duo Jets and their spanking rendition of "Frog Went a-Courtin'!" I haven't heard these cats in a while but boom-howdy how they perk me up!-)
