Listener comments!

  9:11pm bethany:

Last week it was the Superbowl...this week the Grammys. I'm pondering whether to mention on-air or not. Mixed feelings. Input?
  9:13pm myk:

The Grammy's are borring. Why not devote the show's talk time to time travel!
  9:16pm Jon:

almost everything is interesting, depends how you look at it.
  9:18pm Ike:

No reason to mention the Grammys, in my opinion. There is virtually no audience overlap. Well, maybe one or two FMUers might tune in to see if Amy Winehouse appears, and if so, will she be totally coked up and incoherent? But if so, we can watch it on the web later. Your show is undoubtedly infinitely more entertaining and edifying.
  9:21pm meg griffin:

bethany hiya,,,how was your weekend? was it grooooooooooooovy????? i was partyin my butt off all weekend,,,i dont like the grammys,,,the only award show that i watch every year is THE TVLAND AWARDS,,,maybe you heve watched it on tvland bethany???? rite now i'm watch FAMILY GUY,,its sooooooo DAMN FUNNY,,,have you seen it bethany???   9:34pm bethany:

Glad to know that WFMU is stretching into my favorite wine country!! Was thinking of New Zealand today....when I was in the middle of nowhere in Decemeber my salvation was in lively bottles of Nobilo & Oyster Bay.
  9:37pm bethany:

Also - apropos of New Zealand - I don't mean to reduce the entire country into 750 ml bottles...but until I can travel there someday that might be the closest I can get!
  9:39pm sm:

can you tell us something about Alquima?
  9:44pm Bob Ham:

Hey Bethany...listening in Portland OR. Keep up the good work.
  9:48pm bethany:

Alquimia - ok...yes! First thing - I slaughtered the pronunciation of her name (al-KEEM-ea. Second: I updated the playlist with liner notes from the CD I played (1993). And third: she has a mySpace page: http://www.myspace.com/alquimiamusic

  9:51pm sm:

  9:56pm bethany:

I can't get my hands on any Karl Valentin, though a handful of WFMU DJs have aired things off the Okey Laughing Record...if anyone has audio or a link, please send to me!
  9:57pm ?:

  10:02pm ranjit:

  10:21pm Ike:

Massive comma abuse detected directly above. Laser-wielding drones dispatched for corrective behavior modification. Triple-comma grammar misuse will always cue punitive measures forthwith. BZZzzztttt!
