Every show starts with the ’70s! We’ll rediscover forgotten rockers, revisit unfairly maligned disco beats and replay power-pop favorites. Next: plenty of new releases, occasional live bands and more. Don’t let the nickname confuse you.

Jessica Donohoe:
"Yes, that was Motley Crue," he says, in answer to the coast-to-coast chorus of "No he did not!' Mine was shouted in syncopation to a be-aproned chicken-soup-making kitchen-prowling-strut. So thanks for that.

i thought i was hearing some static-y type noises at least in the first couple of minutes, but maybe i'm overly sensitive after my recent CD woes. it was definitely better than the last time i tried to play it, though. god bless the new CD intern!

Loved your finds of modern renditions of classic 70s tunes...did you play "american woman" +/or "the night chicago died" in its entireties or just samplings? where can I find?

@eek - good point! still, they do qualify for the rodent-band hall of fame, along with Ratt, Modest Mouse and of course the Chipmunks (not to mention your reggae-singing namesake. @Luna, the version of "The Night Chicago Died" was played in its entirety, but may not have been entirely recognizable. The "American Woman" riff you heard is part of my music bed, which is a loop of the 1992 song "Saturday Night Fever" by the Lordz of Brooklyn.
