You sounded like Miranda July during that subway bit! I actually thought it was her, not the DJ.
  12:56pm

  1:18pm
Lee-Ping Aboutabit:

Hey! Listen with Sarah, are you listening? Places with funny names: Ougadougou (pronounced Wogadoogoo). Sounds like neo-colonialist bullshit to me. How longhave you been listening to Andy Kershaw and severely missing the point?
  1:20pm
Lee-Ping Aboutabit:

Oh I get it. That was the Benny Hill theme. I guess this is th anti-PC hour. Do you have 'Bernard Manning sings The Smith'?
  1:21pm
Jason:

Yakkety Moog makes me feel like I'm a kid again at the Disney Electrical Parade. Mmmmmm.
  1:21pm
Olivier:

"Yakety Moog " is the moog version of the Benny Hill show ..... a comic stuff from England in the 80's.
  1:23pm
north guinea hills:

oh god, i have country moog of vinyl. i weep for myself
  1:26pm
Miqel.com:

No, please don't feel bad for playing the Moog Benny Hill song!! i'm listening in nashville and it made me laugh. This city produces some weird stuff ... would love to find more from the short-lived country moog era.
Thanks Liz! you rock, love your Ra/Dan&Dale background music.
  1:31pm
dave a.:

ive been in bed for2 weeks for no apparent reason, high fellow listeners...
  1:34pm
Garrett Kelly:

I have that country moog album too! I was so happy to hear that song. My personal favorite is Poke Salad Annie. I love what it says on the back of the album too: Gil Trythall "was born in Tennessee and still lives there with his Moog and some other people. He teaches college, writes music, makes hit records and underground movies." Man, he rules!
  1:46pm
Miqel.com:

Ah ... cool tip Garrett, the "underground movies" by that dude might be interesting to track down. Probably a moog soundtrack for them, lol.
I'm gonna keep an eye out for that LP in the thrift stores here in nashville
  2:20pm
Korina:

Hey, thanx for ur intriguing selection of sounds! I am enjoying your mayhem picks in Amsterdam.
