Street interviews, listener call-ins, vinyl gluttery, sporadic normalcy, original floperas and fiktion, blatant talking over songs, politix, tenderness, and a vague undercurrent of angst. Right up your alley!
March 6, 2006: Dusty Show Marathon Part II
Listen to this show: Pop‑up player!
|Thanks to all of you who have pledged during WFMU's marathon. This is my first time experiencing the process and it's been a lot of fun. I really like checking the Marathon Map and listening to all the shows. It is a great station and I am proud to be a little part of it. Anyway ... thanks again! After a little initial nervousness, it was fun to be on LIVE again after so many shows on cassette. Dorian, Brian, Ken and The Professor really made it easy for me. Thanks to the volunteers as well for giving of your time. I couldn't believe that map! Wow! Japan. China. Brazil. Chile. Australia. And all over the US. Even my beloved Iowa finally got into the act. Thank you to the pledger in the city of Decorah! Now I'm homesick. Well. Next weeks show is done and awaiting Monday night. Until then ... take care and ... OH E-mail me! Tell me where you listen and what's on your mind. I love hearing from you. It makes it all worthwhile. And PLEASE call the Dusty Show Answering Machine anytime day or night at 201.521.1375 Call and leave something I can play on the show. I really want and need your input so it's not just me blathering on and on and on all the time. I get really bored of myself. OK. Signing out. Have fun out there! Life is short. Always remember ....
