It sounds like Sara's mic is low, or Sara should get much closer to the mic

Sara's audio sounds distant

Yes, talk more directly into the mic, Sara! If there’s red tape on it make sure the tape is facing you.

yeah I always am creeped out by liking of stormtroopers and car decals with the empire, shouldn't every one want to be rebels wanting freedom?

Slough Feg recently released a Traveller supplement with a cover that looks like an old traveller book thelordweirdsloughfeg.bandcamp.com...

May 1 is considered "Traveller Day", since it is May Day.

Star wWars is not SciFi, they learned how to travel space from space whales.

I loved traveller in '83 but have not revisited it since, be curious to find people playing it.

Scalzi was also in Hammers of Misfortune for their epic high fantasy sing-along The Bastard

Couldn’t get anyone else to play Traveller back in the day, but I made like five thousand characters, some of whom even survived the process.

same, high-scoring introverts can play RPGs by themselves.

I had a similar experience with Traveller, no one in my high school D&D group was really interested in playing anything other than high fantasy.

I was lucky enough to be in high school when RPGs were first being published. So we did not know better and played EVERYTHING.

OK, not Bunnies & Burrows. But pretty much everything else.

I think the first sci -fi game I played was Psi-World, by the Villains & Vigilantes people IIRC.

Speaking of dice, we all really go into Cosmic Wimpout in high school in the 80s.

What I do recall playing a bit more, was Top Secret a 007-ish spy RGP that came out around the same time. We did more of a Maxwell Smart thing, than a serious game.

All my RPG stuff was lost when I went to college in NYC in '89, i suspect my mom trashed it from my storage pile due to her christianity

Only caught the tail end of the live show, but just finished listening to the archive - great stuff! Even though I'm in the "Star Wars overload" camp, I really enjoyed the discussion. (I played the d6 Star Wars game in high school - Laconic Scout forever!) I'd be interested in hearing your take on the d100 Chaosium games.

Oh boy oh boy, Chaosium is my true love. I just finished running Sara and friends through a four year Call of Cthulhu campaign including Horror on the Orient Express and Masks of Nyarlathotep!
