J. Geils Band  Sanctuary   MP3  Due to the current political climate and the FCC's unprecedented crackdown on radio stations who broadcast songs with sexual content (even if those songs contain only innuendo or clinical terminology), I had to edit this song before playing it on the air. And since it was from a vinyl source, I had to first rip it to the computer as a .wav file, trim and edit it, then save it and tag it as an MP3. All in all, this probably took 15 to 20 minutes out of my life -- minutes that I could have more effectively used to help old ladies across the street, play baseball with little kids, or perform some other, more useful bit of community service.

Instead, I'm protecting religious fundamentalists and Bush supporters from J. Geils lyrics.

Please look me in the eye without laughing and tell me that the world is moving in the right direction.
