I know our Kitty Boy Floyd started having problems around 12 years and sadly we lost him not long after. Kidney failure very common among older felines. Hoping that's not the case for Bette.
We are OK, just OK.
She's had a really rough week, lots of nausea, not eating much.
Oncologist appointment today, blood work, hoping to NOT end up in the hospital again for another transfusion.I haven't been sleeping well at all.

If you mean financial, absolutely not.
Anything in that realm would actually make things worse right now.
Also if anyone out there is dealing with financial issues when it comes to cancer treatments, there are foundations within drug manufacturers where you can apply for financial help through them.
Patients are not always told about them which is just wrong, but they exist.
They are of course income dependent. We are set up through one right now for her very expensive chemo meds.
Any increase in our very modest income would cancel that out

Ebb & flow.
An interesting aside from my visit with my GP last month.
We got talking about my health post Covid and he (who got it very early on in 2020 & was very sick) turns to me & says "do you get really emotional over little things now? I do"
I explained that yes, I do. The smallest thing can set me crying which was not the way it was before Covid. He said me too. It's why I love this guy. Seeing him for near 30 years now.
Just when you think it's only you.....

The first written account of the squonk was from the 1910 book Fearsome Creatures of the Lumberwoods. His provenance was attested in the next written iteration, in the 1939 book Fearsome Critters. This book suggested that the creatures had migrated from deserts to swamps to finally settle in Pennsylvania. Probably right near my home :)

The squonk is of a very retiring disposition, generally traveling about at twilight and dusk. Because of its misfitting skin, which is covered with warts and moles, it is always unhappy...Hunters who are good at tracking are able to follow a squonk by its tear-stained trail, for the animal weeps constantly. When cornered and escape seems impossible, or when surprised and frightened, it may even dissolve itself in tears.
