Mary regarding distortion - your show used to (as you know) always be a much lower level than the drummer stream immediately following... and as you probably know, much lower than most other shows on wfmu... now your shows are as loud as any and certainly louder than some others. louder than the main fmu right now, for instants.
as far as i'm concerned there's no doubt the distortion has something to do with that fact.
also this may be in combination with your sources, ie this track's a bit distorted, but the last 2 were not.

The only thing that is different, now that I am thinking about it, is that I am broadcasting by using the BUTT software instead of the SamCast software. I really think that is the crux of the matter.

As Sylvia says, we're forgoing the turkey (as we did last year, too) and going for a veggie loaf as main course but with plentiful helpings of the sides (which we think is actually the best, anyway). So... dressing, roasted brussel sprouts, potatoes (possibly twice baked, maybe mashed - decisions!), fresh bread and dinner rolls from Amy's, plus Michael's no bake cheesecake for desset. And... there will be wine. x

It's one of those generational things. My middle son makes it with my mom now to keep it going. he'll be the 5th generation to inherit the hand crank sausage grinder. When my grandmother made it, she'd bring the pot over with her, but wouldn't let anyone wash the pot when when dinner was over. We finally figured out that she didn't want to share the leftovers.
