There was an installment at the Cloisters in NYC maybe 10 years ago that played Spem In Alium on 40 speakers, one voice per speaker, in a circle in the chapel they have there. One could sit and listen, or move around the room and get different perspectives on the combinations of voices. Really fascinating.

The rest of the stuff the top-40 stations played over the past week wasn’t very interesting though. TSwift had an impeccably written b
and produced track as usual, and Hozier was OK, and that’s about it.

Also my mom thinks this lady rapper named Doja Cat with super horny lyrics (heavily bleeped on the radio) is fun. At least that’s a new kind of thing I haven’t heard much before.

And there’s this bozo named Drake and he’s terrible and has no talent.

That’s about all I learned.

Zithers and acoustic guitars are both chordophones. Zithers, bows, harps, lyres, and lutes. Guitars come from lutes.
