Artist Track Album Comments New Approx. start time
Ektroverde  Paholaispiirtaja   Ukkossalama  Crazy Fins! Crazy Fins! It should be noted that I neglected the inclusion of many umlauts in the song title. Apologies to any of WFMU's Finnish listeners. I didn't realize that sans the umlauts, "Paholaispiirtaja" means something dirty.    0:00:00 Pop-up)

Music behind DJ:
Barry de Vorzon
Theme from "The Warriors"   MP3  I spent part of the day at The American Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria, so as to introduce my best gal to The Warriors, which was being screened as part of a NYC Subway-centric film series. I'd wondered if a museum environment would keep away the traditional loonies and troublemakers who count themselves among the film's biggest fans, but was delighted to be seated near some skinhead guy in a leather vest, his long-haired biker pal, and best of all, a 300 lb guy with a bleach-blonde mowhawk, wraparound shades, and a fur coat -- all of whom hooted and hollered and cheered throughout the duration of the film at all the appropriate scenes. Then again, perhaps the museum flew them in from L.A. for authenticity.    0:28:22 Pop-up)
