	♥ 3:46am derekleif: There's just something about this time that makes me feel as if I'm come full circle. I used to be a total night person, staying up till 7 AM. Now I'm completely in the other direction, waking up at 4, sometimes 3, sometimes 2, after going to sleep way early. So yes, now I miss those lovely, giddy times of, say, 10 or 11 at night, when things just begin to pick up after the boring people go home, go to sleep at about 12, and get up at 8. Man, that's boring. Now, though, we're at the time where not only you night owls hoot away, but we hard core morning people make our presence known, because after all, the morning technically begins at the stroke of midnight. So yes, this early morning, this time in which one thing comes to an end as another begins, is that yin and yang time for extended remixes, Tenacious D, and small audio clips of, I think, Steve Coogan (if that wasn't an audio clip of Steve Coogan, my apologies). Seriously....so good to see you all.

It's just now, at the old, old age of 56, that I've come to see that about 2 in the morning to about, say, 9 in the morning is my absolute favorite time of the day. It's just a really interesting shift to go from these being the first hours of my day as opposed to the last. Everythings just...better between about 02:00 and 09:00 in the morning. The question is what part of the day to sacrifice to be up during those hours. When I was a college student, I didn't need to be up during the day, so that's when I slept. Now, because I work in what I call an "ultra morning job--I'm a school librarian, so I keep teacher's hours. and I have an hour's drive, and I write in the morning--I sacrifice the evenings, which means, yes, very few performances and concerts for me. What I also get to do, though, is also end my day as the denizens of the night begin it. And then I sleep through the beginning of the night person's day, and meet them again when I'm just getting started, and they're literally ready to call it a day. So where are you? is this the beginning of your day, or the end?

	4:58am Cosmic: Yes very much the same for me although I’m self-employed and work freelance. So now it’s 9:45am I got up at 6 today which is late these days. I started a new evening class last night so it was late one for me and I was tired last night. Most days I get up at 5am GMT/EST but if I wake up at 3 or 4 I get up then. My studio is an hour and a half walk, so I’ve been walking in lately, great for the dog. Woods on the way. Much less traffic if I get moving straight away. I’m getting more and more used to this pattern over this last year and sometimes need to take a nap early afternoon, but less lately. I’m always amazed at how much can happen before morning kicks in for the masses. I’m usually busy working by then. And can either take an early afternoon and chill, or work through and walk home around sunset this time of year, which is great. And pass a hill on the way.

When’s the last time you had a look see at the compelling punk rock (cultural heritage at this point) Derek Jarman film “Jubilee” (England 1978) ! Adam Ant featured in an early sincere performance. Among many other punk era leg-ends. - Good stuff that !

	4:58am Cosmic: Yes very much the same for me although I’m self-employed and work freelance. So now it’s 9:45am I got up at 6 today which is late these days. I started a new evening class last night so it was late one for me and I was tired last night. Most days I get up at 5am GMT/EST but if I wake up at 3 or 4 I get up then. My studio is an hour and a half walk, so I’ve been walking in lately, great for the dog. Woods on the way. Much less traffic if I get moving straight away. I’m getting more and more used to this pattern over this last year and sometimes need to take a nap early afternoon, but less lately. I’m always amazed at how much can happen before morning kicks in for the masses. I’m usually busy working by then. And can either take an early afternoon and chill, or work through and walk home around sunset this time of year, which is great. And pass a hill on the way.
	4:58am Erik/VermonT: @paoloAD: yea. It’s about G-dang time that we all get re-caught-up with the Ant Music craze. In hindsight, fairly under-appreciated. When’s the last time you had a look see at the compelling punk rock (cultural heritage at this point) Derek Jarman film “Jubilee” (England 1978) ! Adam Ant featured in an early sincere performance. Among many other punk era leg-ends. - Good stuff that !
