Let me tell you about Elliot Grove the founder of Raindance Film Festival...    He was raised a Mennonite as a kid. It's is a sect of Amish (you probably know that already). So when he was a kid, no electricity or anything. One day, as a 16 year old boy, he had to drive the horse carriage into town to have horse shoes changed. He gets to the Blacksmiths place, and usually it takes 20 minutes, but this time, the blacksmith was really busy and he said, "Three hours." What was he going to do? So all his life, his parents told him, "Never dance" because that is the first step to having sex. Never this or that... But definitely never ever go to a movie theater, because that's where the devil lives (no shit). So, being a kid, he wondered what the devil looked like. He went to the theater and paid $0.95 cents and went in. He was awestruck by the house of the devil. It was built sort of like a church. Excepting the seats had red velvet on them. As you know, red is the color of the devil. He was so shocked when they turned the lights down in the theater. He was so afraid but he wondered what the devil looked like. The movie started and he didn't know what he was seeing. But he cried, and cried like a baby. When the movie was over he walked to the screen and felt it... Where had the movie gone? He was so shaken by the experience. He was hooked and fell in love with movies. The movie he saw? "Come Home Lassie!"

Nah, it was a short one. But it really scared me for s second, when my smart phone started beeping and screaming "An earthquake is coming! An earthquake is coming." It does the a lot actually, but every time is very disconcerting. The giant earthquake that hit Fukushima and the nuclear disaster was really scary. That last for several minutes and water was splashing out out of the aquarium. That one I got under the dining table.... 3 minutes of rocking & rolling! But it happens all the time.

Tiny Clubs are the best. I think it is crazy to spend a lot of money to go to some huge assed place and hear a band and the sound is crap. I quit going in 1990 when I saw Boiwe at Tokyo Dome. It was like being in an airplane hanger and I was in the 8th row!

I definitely never go to outdoor festivals. I went to (I forget the name) in 1975. Aerosmit were on stage and the wind was blowing really hard.... Couldn’t hear them... And I hate stading at the porta-potty. I want　to relax, have fun, and NOT stand in a stinky line to go to a port potty!!!!! No!!!!!!

The last time (2nd time) I went to a summer festival in Japan (you guys know how hot is is in summer in Japan). It was blazing hot. We were sitting in an air conditioned tent. The someone came in and said "Metallica is coming on stage now!" We got up to go, walked out of the tent. I started melting and went back into the tent.... No way, I was going to have a heatstroke to see Metallica. No way!
